About this deal

Be hands-on like a barista with manual microfoam milk texturing to deliver authentic café style results in no time at all. That machine has assistance/automation from start to finish, from plugging in the machine, all the way through making espresso and steaming milk.

Press and hold the 2 CUP button and then press and hold the POWER button simultaneously to enter the Descale mode. To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, discard the protective cover fitted to the power plug safely. It is very easy to assume that new always means better, and in some ways, I think this is the case with the ThermoJet, but in some ways, possibly not. Our espresso machines are designed to use the right dose of freshly ground beans, ensure precise temperature control, optimal water pressure and create true microfoam milk essential for latte art.We use all reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of descriptions of Goods provided to us by the seller but may not have inspected the Goods prior to dispatch to you. I weigh the dose and the minimum dose for a single shot is about 12 grams which I feel is excessive and overfills the filter. The 1 CUP button should flash continuously and remain constant once the descaling process has finished. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, power plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.

The steam wand performs at the level that allows you to hand texture micro-foam milk that enhances flavour and enables creation of latte art. It's not a huge deal, the same is true of the Gaggia Classic Pro, but you can very easily mod that machine to change the limit to 9 bars. This is why I'm such a fan of Sage coffee machines in general because they're all about getting the best possible results from freshly roasted coffee beans. The Barista Pro also makes a bit less of a song and dance about cooling the heater after steaming milk. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. If you pull a shot as soon as the machine is warmed up, you'll probably find the result to be a bit off. I drink espresso mainly and would occasionally use the steam wand for trying my hand at a flat white.

Don't do what I've heard of some doing, though, and take the internal grind to the finest setting from day one, because you'll just end up with the burrs hitting each other (which makes a slightly disconcerting strained motor sound), which isn't great. It looks great, it screams “home barista”, I like the look of the portafilter, the tamper and the dosing funnel, but that's where the impressive stuff ended for me , and it's mainly down to the 8 grind settings.

How often a coffee machine needs to be descaled depends on how often it is used and the hardness of the water. Then within 8 seconds, insert the steam wand tip (1–2cm) below the surface of the milk, close to the right hand side of the jug at the 3 o’clock position and quickly turn the dial back to the STEAM position. Overall, I was both very impressed and very unimpressed at the same time, by the La Specialista Arte'. Is there any way to readjust the “grinding dial” so I can get a minimum and a maximum amount as it should be? Due to the massive popularity of the Sage machines, there is a huge array of 54mm accessories on the market.
