About this deal
In outdoor situations bait stations protect the rodenticide from the worst of the weather, prolonging the service life of the rodenticide and reducing costs. The robust, lockable construction ensures the station is tamper proof allowing for safe use around children and animals.
Although the grain will usually kill the mouse after exposure to it once, it does not guarantee that it will die instantly, which is why it is used in bait stations. It's worth spending a little money on large, lidded, plastic boxes instead, you'll thank yourself in the long run because they take up less room and you'll know exactly where everything is next time you want it! These boxes provide a dry environment for protection of any poison to avoid deterioration of the product.
Depending on the bait you use, it may take some time for the poison to have an effect so the rodent may not die inside the station. Black Pearl Paste and Grain are highly attractive baits containing micro-encapsulated Alphachloralose.Whenever possible, place mouse traps in concealed areas, such as the backs of cabinets or behind your stove (pull out the drawer beneath the oven for easy access). Look for signs of rodent activity, for example where there are fresh droppings, inside or near burrows, runways and feeding places. Always use gloves to dispose of mouse and all waste should be double bagged using bin liners, or similar, before disposal in a bin with a secure lid.
