About this deal

Their relationship really grew slowly and I love how Ry let Isadora see that love isn't all about hurting in the end.

She does have some flaws, one of them being that she has a really hard time learning to love others. As a sixteen year old, Isadora wants nothing more than for her parents that she literally worships, to pay attention to her.Isadora is tired of her immortal relatives and their ancient mythological drama, so when she gets the chance to move to California with her brother, she jumps on it.

Once in San Diego, she is horrified at the prospect of yet ANOTHER inconvenient pregnancy, in this case, her brother's wife's incoming baby. who conveniently is still wearing the gold wristlet/bracelet Ry gave her before his declaration of love. That's half the storyline so if you're struggling to care about these two characters getting together, good luck getting through this book. They’re crystal blue, a shade that shouldn’t exist on the human body, a shade I immediately crave, a shade that makes my heart beat a little faster—almost as if I recognize it. I think the info dump, the lackluster narration, and the illy placed dreams made the pacing in this book seem very awkward and just sort of ruined climax. Oh, I've started it and I've read the end but even now as I try to push myself through it for the second time, I just can't do it. It’s never clear just who Isadora is; her voice never fully jells into her own, neither modern girl nor ancient child of the gods.
