The author took liberties with bullies who are not native creatures of the swamp but are mean just the same.The sense of fun is emphasised with the illustrations by Stephanie Laberis which illuminate the narrative and bring the characters to life. If you want to do something, but you don’t because you’re worried about what people will say then you aren’t good to your own heart. Wanda the little witch loves school, but she's a little shy - and very nervous about the school magic contest!

Other than that, I try my best to draw every day and dream of one day writing and illustrating my own picture book.
