has a wicked eye for the ruthless, fiercely factional criminal underworld and her books never fail to pack a powerful punch. Her mother's 'friend' in Paris, Mimi, isn't all she seems to be and exploits Diamond whenever she can. It written a bit different to her other books but still the gritty, page turner that we have come to love. I never have to read the blurb on books by Jessie Keane I have confidence that I am going to love it her narrative is superb and her characters are always relatable. Jessie's stand-alone novels include Jail Bird, The Make, Dangerous, Fearless, The Knock and The Manor.Diamond longs to escape and have her revenge on the Wolfe family who had such a feud with her family and killed her father. She has two younger brothers the youngest Owen who was born with the cord around his throat has learning difficulties but is loved no less than diamond or Archie her other brother. I can imagine more books featuring Diamond, taking forward the partnerships that she made in this one, but even if that doesn't happen I thought the ending was just right.
