All new boxes are white, including the Field set which was previously blue, but the contents remain unchanged. Used either mixed with other Cotman watercolours or as a medium in their own right, you can enjoy adding another iridescent dimension to your work. The palette its self comes with detachable mixing trays that can be attached to the side of the pans or left off, the tray the pans sit in also can be pinched out, with the convenience of being able to swap out different colour pans or replace finished ones. This is a well designed box of half pans, with a good open and close mechanism, unlike several other brands which seem to have very cheap catches on their boxes which I assume will not last well. Formulated to create uniform consistency, the transparent quality of Cotman Watercolours are perfect for new users.
