The block may be directly connected to the PBX if this is the MDF, or cross-connected another location if this is an IDF. One of the toughest, most time-consuming parts of locating a cable has been in tracing its path amidst multiple cables and bundles in wiring closets.The analog mode can be used to isolate individual wire pairs and trace voice, audio and video cabling.
