About this deal

And with a slightly longer foot deck than the other scooters on this list, the GOMO allows for more foot space for larger feet. But as an added bonus, when taking this scooter on-the-go, the handlebar can be removed for easy storage.

Jacob did a very good job of explaining the operations of the scooter and there was plenty of safe, open space in which to do a test drive. McLaren Scooter for 3+ Years - Orange and Black Designed for 3-6 year olds (max weight 110 Lbs), these exceptional three wheeled scooters were designed to help kids learn how to ride scooters and feature exclusive McLaren badges and styling. This retro mobility scooter will be able to easily ascend a hill of 30% (17°) while carrying 31 st (199 kg) – it’s maximum weight , making it a fairly powerful machine in our arsenal. Our tester’s seven-year-old was able to easily lift it up and down kerbs himself, though it does feel cumbersome for a parent to carry, even when locked in the folded position. When tipped to the side, the rubber hand grips hit the ground first, but didn’t show any scuffing on impact. The adjustable handlebar on this scooter means that you will be able to get the perfect height of handlebar for your child. The amount should be paid in advance by card payment, which will reserve the test drive in our system. Being a little bigger than the younger RGS-1, it can also handle school and library journeys in comfort. My husband and I drove down to Shefford today to meet the company owner, Jacob and to have a test drive. If you have an older child that prefers the ease-of-use of three wheels, check out the Micro Maxi or LaScoota 2-in-1, which are both larger 3 wheel scooters.

It’s easier for them to control, lift up pavements and kerbs, to navigate over steps and through doorways. According to the instructions, the lowest of the T-bar’s three notched height positions is intended for a child aged five, the middle for one aged six or seven, and the top position for age eight and over.

Our tester’s seven-year-old spent most of his time with the T-bar in its lowest position, so the handles reached his waist, and had plenty of growing room. There’s plenty of room to grip and, with an extra-wide baseboard (14cm at its widest point) and 4cm ground clearance, the scooter feels extremely stable on a variety of hard surfaces.

Between the two scooters, the Scotti’s lean-to-steer function has more play and is more responsive to movement. Some of our designs even feature a detachable padded seat for optimum comfort on the move and can go to top speeds of up to 11 miles per hour! We even have designs that feature changeable components so they can go from scooter to skateboard in just seconds!Browse our full range of skateboards for plenty of choice including some seriously cool retro rides featuring LED wheels. They say the motivation for founding the company was the desire to make a kids’ scooter that would last just as long as the high-end models, without breaking the bank.

The RGS-2 is comprised of a polypropylene and nylon baseboard, an aluminium T-bar, tough polyurethane wheels and rubber hand grips. Our testers told us that they love that the fender brake is closer to the wheel, making it a little easier to engage. It also makes it a very good option for the smallest and youngest of children as the minimum height is 48cm which is the lowest of all three scooters.Speed Around The Streets - Our patented EasyGlide tilt-to-turn maneuvreing system makes our scooters perfect for confident riders who are raring to go and confident in their scooting. While we appreciate the option of three different height settings, we found the button to move the handlebar up and down is challenging to push all the way in without pinching fingers.
