Overdrive is literally what you get when a tube is pushed beyond its voltage limits causing a clip in the top of the waveforms resulting in a slight warm, fat and sometimes, sizzly tone. The Boss Super Chorus didn’t shimmer enough, and affordable pedals like the Ammoon Nano Chorus or Musiclily Chorus just never quite fit well enough with the rest of my rig. If you're going for something more out of the box and downright wacky, you might want to look elsewhere. The range of BOSS Chorus Pedals includes the classic CH-1 Super Chorus as well as Waza Craft and Bass options.

LEVEL knob allows you to adjust the amount of effect applied to the output from the pedal so you can take it from a slight accent on your sound to a full, juicy chorus sound. Direct comparisons depend on the exact pedal in question, but in general, the CH-1 has an edgier, cleaner tone with a wider frequency range that could perhaps be described as ‘more hi-fi’. There are many chorus pedals on the market, many with more features, but the CH-1 sounds great and can hold it's own amongst it's competition. The CH-1 by Boss is a guitar chorus pedal that features a stereo output and 4 knobs to adjust your tone. The Boss CH-1 Super Chorus pedal gives you a classic, clean chorus sound with beautifully clear highs and an incredible stereo effect.In the middle is a Switch which if you set it to the far left, you get the CE-2 classic sound, Put the switch in the middle and you get the Boss CE-1 sound, then on the right you the CE-1 Vibrato only (So no Dry signal).

I know all Boss pedals are like that, it’s kind of their thing, but this one takes it up another notch!This single EQ control is essentially an overall chorus effect tone control that dials back the CH-1’s edgy nature. The EQ function allows you to adjust the tonality from soft, mellow sounds to sharp, cutting sounds ideal for rhythm guitar. The Boss CH1 Super Chorus features sharp sounds with clear highs, and a stereo effect that varies depending on the spacing between the left and right speakers.
