I suggest using a high-speed blender if possible. Otherwise, the process can take quite a bit longer. However, if you do have a relatively mid-level powered food processor/blender, don’t fret! Simply give the nuts longer time to blend, giving the machine a break every couple of minutes. As with all my homemade nut butter recipes, I have to suggest adding some cocoa powder for a delicious chocolatey version because everything is better with chocolate! Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit for a minute. Using a fork and a spoon, carefully dip each Brazil nut into the hot toffee. Alternatively, add a handful of Brazil nuts at a time and stir to coat before removing them individually. Take care when handling the toffee as it will be very hot. If the toffee starts to harden in the pan, briefly return it to the heat.
