About this deal

Decent price too on the first formula with inflated costs. It doesn't have the box but the bottle is legit mint condition since it came out of a gift-set. I love this, I will always love this but something changed somewhere along the line. It no longer gets the attention it once provoked out of people. It no longer gives that moment of nirvana. The opening flourish that greeted the nose like a fanfare of trumpets from heaven itself is gone.

My problem is with longevity and boringness. I'm on my 3rd bottle. I would buy one get bored and sell it, then proceed to miss it and buy another one. Now, I've just decided to keep it in my collection.

Opening is similar to Cool Water (which I love) but Green Irish Tweed is greener, more mature and less bubble gumy.

In my opinion, an amazing fragrance. The opening is heavy on the aquatic scent, very projecting in the beginning. The dry down on the other hand, has intimate sillage but for me it's an amazing fresh pleasant smell. It's definitely a fresh daytime summer fragrance. It's for casual wearing, wouldn't wear it when going out at night. Could also be a nice summer office fragrance. The performance is pretty good on my skin, I get more than 6 hours. This happened to me many years ago, and I still get flashes of that moment today. Oh the trauma! That someone special has been history for almost as many years, but that moment got me thinking long and deep about spending my money on expensive fragrances that have proficient doppelgangers. Well of course I never learnt my lesson, but I have been more careful and considered before handing over hard-earned dosh. First few seconds have an alcohol scent which doesn't exist in 2014 (as expected because of maturation and evaporation of top notes over time). Much more citrusy and fresh with a stronger violet leaf and lemon verbena note. As a kid, I thought Cool Water was simply the most incredible fragrance I ever smelled. It was a "soul satisfying" scent to me, and it evoked memories and nostalgia from a time I never even had. It was simply incredible, refreshing, and amazing, and STRONG.As much I enjoy this juice, you can easily get lost with all the dupes that exist. There's a definite similarty to Cool water, but it has more of synthetic vib. Instead Green Irish Tweed has more of a herbal base with a definite green notes. Got a 2023 F-batch and for me, this is the only modern Creed that is worth the look. First, the scent: On my skin it opens with green mint, verbena and moss, and then slowly it goes into earthy violet and salty ambergris. Performance is good, but you have to slightly overspray it. Apparently it gets better over time, so I'll let it macerate a bit. A classic for sure, and in my top 3 of all time, best in the creed range easily, I still have a 1/3 of a bottle left that I’ve been nursing for the last two years. However, sadly I won’t be purchasing again, due to the principle of creed behaving dishonestly over free samples, something we couldn’t rectify. Fouguére done in a very fresh springy way. Lemon and Violet is the most prominent notes in this. I can't say this smells similar to Cool Water, I really don't like CW because of It's synthetic window cleaner aspects but this is far greater than that.
