There are some negative comments toward thinner women and people who work out. Gym rat comes to mind. I’m not someone who works out a lot but I don’t think it is necessary to think negatively about any body type or to use the heroes previous preference to compare to the heroine. Of course, Max’s daughter Everly must also be mentioned. Wise beyond her years, she definitely has a future in the matchmaking business. These two found themselves in a difficult relationship limbo, both shielding themselves from potential heartache, making it a little harder for them to know how they felt about each other. This “limbo” made the sessions highly entertaining, with flirting, banter and insidious kissing. Cozy and Max get off to a rough start because Max is a Type-A, ambitious, routined CEO and Cozy is taking life one day at a time. But, she has an amazing impact on Everly and Max discovers there's a lot more to her than meets the eye. Their banter, tension, and chemistry finally come to a head and boy, do sparks fly. I can't say enough about Cozy. One, she is a plus-sized heroine who is very much aware of her body, i.e., she knows how hard it is to find the perfect clothes or even to shop for them. What she is not is insecure about it, or a doormat. She doesn't throw herself a pity party over any of it. She owns her curves like it's nobody's business, and that, let me tell you, is what I really aspire to be. She's also such a strong person, and she's been through so much. She deserves to be happy.

When Vi’s bright, cheeky smile and oversized dog crash into him without warning, he can’t help but get wrapped up in her. Despite his better judgement, he enlists Vi to help him with a special assignment that’s anything but romantic. Overall this book was quite funny and very steamy! I loved the chemistry between the main characters and I actually really enjoyed the break down of their relationship and watching them get over their differences to repair it. The "break up" made sense in this romance read, which it usually never does! Cozy's grand gesture was so cute! I felt the attachment Poppy & Booker had. I felt the loss Booker had when Poppy left. I felt Poppy's helplessness when she had to face her feelings for her best friends. I felt everything that matters. Best friends for most of their lives, everything changes when Poppy abruptly leaves London for University.Vi Harris comes with baggage most men can’t handle. A famous ex footballer for a father and four professional footballing brothers. Brothers she helped raise after their mother died. Soon enough you can see that it's not just about sex. He wants to know more about her, and she's curious about him too. Max is dreamy. Swoony. Incredible. Whatever you want to call him, I'm sure he is that too. The single dad who puts his daughter and his job above all else, because he's been burned by love before and he doesn't want to go down that road again. But then someone walks into his life and changes everything without even trying. And he never saw her coming. Hot damn Booker Harris, you're in my net. This is the 3rd book in the Harris Brothers series, and I'm absolutely loving all of their stories. The dynamic of this family is amazing.

Overall: By the middle of the book, I genuinely thought the two protagonists are better off not together, which imo doesn’t bode well for the story. Both of them had an amazing chemistry and they each had their emotional battles to deal with. I don't want to reveal anything, but it was a great addition to this series and I can't wait for the next Harris brother. with that being said, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the some of the words/ phrases said. I think I’ll be okay if I never have to read the word “zaddy” again. also, “sweet cheeks” 🫠

But one stormy night when the power goes out, he discovers Cozy doesn’t hate him. In fact, he’s the leading role in her fantasies. Details About Last on the List I am so bummed I didn't absolutely love this book like the others in the series. I waited very impatiently for this story and was so excited to get my hands on it. Even though this wasn't my favorite story, I still enjoyed many moments and overall rooted for Max and Cozy to get their happily ever after.

I was waiting patiently for this book to come out, I thought Daws would stay in the Harris world forever and never finish this series, which is part of the reason why I was disappointed with this book. Don’t get me wrong, this was, in essence, a cute story. It was a grumpy/sunshine, age gap, single dad trope, which is one of my personal favourites. You know I was sorta steadfast on Tanner being my favorite Amy Daws hero.. yes, there was soulful, hurt, beautiful Hayden... and leave-me-swooning-and-drooling, brooding glassed Theo.. but Tanner was that juust right mix between deep, vulnerable.. and alpha sexiness.. Who will make sure I make it to Heaven now?” He exhales and wipes a tear running down my nose. “You have me for that, silly.” I usually enjoy Amy Daws’s books so much. Her writing style, flawed yet sweet characters, progressive thinking and humour usually slap me right in the feels. This is the first book of hers I’ve ever rated lower than a 4 star, but alas...Poppy is a pretty cool character, she fits right in with Indie and Belle. She's quirky and not afraid to show her true self to people. She is how she is and thats all there is to it. The chastising tone of his words pierce through any shred of dignity I had left. I feel dirty and ashamed as he looks at me like I'm the worst mistake of his life. Is hooking up with me really such an appalling concept to him? I realize he can get girls ten times hotter than me, but to act like I'm some kind of disgusting mistake is a degradation I can't stomach. Tilly Logan is a fiery, Scottish lass who didn’t bat an eye five years ago when a smoldering Italian pulled her into a nightclub bathroom. He was dark, dangerous, and exactly the good time Tilly was looking for—even if he worked for her over-protective brother’s team.
