The antagonists are as believable and complex as they are terrifying; I feel as if I know Aunt Ruth, and she terrifies me with her odd blend of well-intentioned homophobia.The characters are never explored completely, but instead we sort of receive snapshots of them at specific points This was very interesting to me, especially since the characters were fairly diverse and dynamic.
