About this deal

The emotionally engaging and morally complex story raises the pertinent moral questions; should we be judged by the actions of our distant past and at what point do we have to stop blaming other people for the life we’ve led? This means the Channel 5 drama could possibly end up changing how and where Ryan is disposing of his victims to make the events all take place near to their West Country home. In the first look images, Ed supports his daughter Abbie as he tries to convince her that Ryan is bad news. His novel THE CATCH, about a father who becomes convinced his daughter is about to marry a man with terrible secrets, was also adapted for TV starring BAFTA-winner Jason Watkins - all episodes now available on My5.

Ed’s on a journey with Claire because he has a secret which he has never shared with her, and he fears being honest will destroy her. It also comes to light that Ryan killed his parents and his sibling, and burned down the family home. I would have liked for it to be more fast paced and with fewer pages since I felt that at some points it dragged on! He’s working for a good company, he has a university degree, and he’s a decorated veteran who served in Afghanistan. This is a handy bit of software that changes your IP address so that you can access on-demand content or live TV just as if you were at home. The Catch trailer begins with a boat in open water and Aneurin Barnard talking about any dark family secrets to be avoided! Totally addictive from start to finish The Catch is very highly recommended and it is another must-read from this brilliant author. This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use. Told from the point of view of several different characters, including Ryan himself, this was a tense and suspenseful read, thoroughly gripping and with an excellent ending.

Initially, Ed had no idea that he was connected to Ryan - but in the finale, he learned the horrifying truth. The book will be adapted for the screen by Michael Crompton (The Holiday, Silent Witness, Safe House, Kidnap and Ransom) with Rachel Gesua, Suzi McIntosh and Trevor Eve executive producing for Projector Pictures and Herbert L. So with this in mind and knowing how even the best book-to-show and best book-to-movie adaptations inevitably make some tweaks, The Catch could differ from the book’s plotline when it comes to the ending too. Despite being filmed in Ireland, The Catch is actually set against the coastline of the west of England - although an exact location isn't revealed.

When Abbie Collier introduces her new smart, successful and handsome fiancee Ryan to her family, Abbie's mother and grandmother think he's the perfect catch. Desperate to prevent Abbie from marrying the wrong man, Ed digs into Ryan's past and in doing so he alienates his wife and daughter.
