I've read quite a few Shari Lapena books now, and I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with them. I had a very interesting ending in mind that I was hoping would somehow be accurate (and provide me with the crazy twisted ending I was looking for) but it didn't come to pass.

Even though I was able to predict who did it, I think it was a very entertaining read and one of Shari Lapena’s best! After the dinner, she drove to Dan’s, snuck into his garage, and took one of his disposable coveralls.

The Merton family puts the word FUN in the word "dysfunctional"; making this "whodunnit" mystery challenging to solve. I listened to the audiobook and while listening to this book, I felt like I was on a merry-go-round. Each one stands to inherit millions and have bad memories of their capricious father and neglectful mother. Her aunt Audrey suspects Jenna was the murderer as she remembers her as being violent when angry as a child.Rose is also the reason for Dan’s financial troubles, as she persuaded him to invest some money, which she lost. I still had fun reading this one and will always pick up a Lapena novel knowing pretty much what to expect. out of four), she is once again at the top of her game… As usual, Lapena does what she does best, so much so that trying to put the book down is futile.
