About this deal

In spite of misunderstandings during Sports Day, the two reconcile and confirm each other’s feelings in the end. And the story, in addition to the romance, has some very funny overtones that made me laugh out loud throughout the volume. But this author is worth a lot, maybe artwork didn't amaze me that much, but it still was really pretty and I liked that it was kind of like watercolor art. Honestly, Eriko is a perfect embodiment of myself (minus the twitter account) which I relate to so much! He asks to be her friend, but at their first hangout with Ohmi, Ellie gets into an argument with her jealous boyfriend… This awakens newfound feelings in Kaname, who tells her something she never thought she’d hear…?

Lovesick Ellie - Wikipedia

Lo primero que me llamó la atención de este manga fue el estilo de dibujo de Fujimomo, sin duda me encanta. This book is a pretty standard rom-com trope of "I'm attracted to the most handsome guy, but I'm a homely, Hollywood-ugly female. I definitely behaved in the exact same way as her at some point in my life (it did not go away with adulthood). The way Sara is introduced is pretty nice: First, the author makes you think that she is superficial and only approaches Ellie to get closer to Ohmi – that’s not the case though.I'd love to be a part of this world and be their friend, and I can't wait to see what's next in Volume 2! Despite his popularity, Ohmi has similar difficulties with communicating, so he and Eriko work together well, especially once they start casually dating. Meanwhile, Sara’s on the brink of admitting her love for Reo, but there’s a new player on the scene. And the other group, the older ones who ignore the plot and are solely there for inappropriate drawings.

I thought this was such a cute little graphic novel mainly focused probably more towards a middle-grade audience rather than a young adult audience, in my opinion. It's the sort of feel-good, cute little story that could definitely cheer you up if you're in a bad mood. Eriko is a socially awkward "invisible" girl who lives out an imaginary dating life with Ohmi, a popular boy in her class, through an anonymous (and anonymized) twitter account. Unable to come down from cloud nine, Ellie has her precious phone confiscated by her teacher and ends up in detention with her aloof classmate, Kaname. Un día, Erin escucha una conversación y descubre el verdadero carácter de Ohmi, a la vez que él descubre las fantasías en Twitter de Erin, lo que los lleva de una manera muy cómica a empezar una amistad, que con el tiempo va a más.One day, Erin overhears a conversation and discovers Ohmi's true character, while he discovers Erin's Twitter fantasies, which leads them in a very comical way to start a friendship, which over time grows into something more. But online, she’s “Lovesick Ellie,” a brash and lusty alternate persona with quite a viral following! I love the both of their interactions even though you can see the mangaka exaggerate their stereotype to a point that it's becoming comical; which may be the intention all along. As if that weren’t enough, popular boy Akira Ohmi has discovered her Twitter account, “Lovesick Ellie,” which is filled to the brim with thirsty tweets—including fantasies about him. Ellie tweets her fantasies about Ohmi and Ohmi finds out, and so he’s comfortable showing her his true self.
