About this deal

I just never liked using the tripod leg locks to level the video head so my camera sat parallel to the horizon. Many PRS (Precision Rifle Series) shooters recommended the Innorel RT80C, but since its limit is 20 kg, I went for the bigger brother RT90C with a 40 kg capacity. Overall the stability at full height (without centre column raised) is as good as the top brands I have tried. I found it difficult to understand which ball head would suit me best, and I was only looking for the solutions offered by RRS. Definitely consider LED lights (Godox), Flashes (Yonguo) and things like the cheap collapsible photography studios.

I should have mentioned that I will be using this tripod for hiking with my A7Riv, 16-105 F/4 and 12-16 F/4. The version shown and described here has a special panning quick release (for the ARCA Rail interface), with a bubble level. The leg sections are secured with twist locks, which are sturdy, made from metal and lock the legs very firmly. The legs are carbon fibre, reducing the weight to less than 3kg and, with the leg sections measuring 40mm at the top and 29mm at the bottom, there is excellent stability. Yes, that one would also be my choice, as mentioned in my first reply: " Heavier and more expensive, oh well, but I think the Innorel 90 maybe might be the better choice (mainly thinking about the 40mm diameter of the top leg segments and the bigger bowl diameter).

Height is from the ground to the plate; in real world activity, you need to add the height of the tripod head. For photographers who need advanced photo editing options, Pixelmator Pro for macOS offers layer-based editing, machine learning-powered adjustment and selection tools, and features such as Denoise and Super Resolution.

Innorel tripod? - Digital Photography Review Anyone use an Innorel tripod? - Digital Photography Review

Cliplocks or twistlocks for the leg segments: I prefer cliplock, as all it takes is looking at it to see if it is in the locked position or not. I prefer 3 axis heads but with the bowl tripod configuration for leveling the horizon and an L bracket on my camera I think I could get away with a 2 axis (video type) head. Until I looked up the size and weight of your equipment (Thank you for taking the time to maintain your equipment list). I am looking for something the size and weight of the Manfrotto Compact action but sturdy like the 055. The Innorel seems like it would be lighter, more compact, higher weight rating and considerably sturdier with no center column. One notable difference is leg diameter – similar between the Innorel RT90C and the Gitzo, but the top section on the 3 Legged Thing is similar to the bottom section on the other tripods. It has gone through an extremely challenging winter of photography here in Iceland with me and looks almost brand new. The Innorel Upgraded-ST324CF seems to suit my budget, my appreciation for a deal and hopefully be a really good compact travel tripod.

Family moments are precious and sometimes you want to capture that time spent with loved ones or friends in better quality than your phone can manage. This way the limit would be on my side, and I wouldn’t have to worry if I loaded it with a really heavy rifle with gadgets. Over the years I have seen several pictures of rifles on tripods, and finally, the temptation grew to get my own system. I looked at and admired the RT_90 but I am not looking for something that big as I already have big sturdy tripods covered. It would all come down to what you plan on doing with it, and how far you plan on walking, although neither is particularly heavy. I have elected to use spikes rather than the rubber feet, which provides good contact with the ground and minimises vibration, even in high winds.

I don't have the budget for the RRS, Gitzo's or equivalents right now so wanted to see what taller tripods were available on Aliexpress.Confusingly, the 3 Legged Thing tripod includes a bowl, but not the levelling head that fits into it.
