About this deal

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you use Hydromol Ointment if your skin is badly cracked, infected or bleeding. In dry skin affected by eczema, there are lower levels of Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) which means the skin is more prone to cracks which lets in irritants and aggravates the skin. Bath additive – Melt Hydromol Ointment in warm water in a suitable container, add mixture to the bath. Hydromol cream is light and gentle to the touch and seals moisture in, helping to smooth and soften the surface of the skin, and sooth and calm itching.

If you're using Hydromol ointment in the bath or shower take care to avoid slipping, especially when getting in or out, because the ointment is likely to make the bath/shower more slippery than usual. They are not used to treat a specific medical condition, but rather to improve the overall health and appearance of the skin. This product should be used in combination with other topical leave on emollients, as required or advised by a Healthcare professional. Moisturisers are helpful for all dry skin conditions, particularly eczema, which gets worse when the skin is allowed to dry out.

Hydromol Ointment can be used to provide moisture for any skin condition where dry skin is a factor. There are ways to treat it and recommended to speak to a dermatologist to properly diagnose and discuss suitable treatments.Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. I was given a small sample of Hydromol by my Dermatologist 3 years ago, and have been using it ever since. If you experience any side effects when using an emollient, it is important to speak with a healthcare provider for advice on how to manage them.
