About this deal

This may result in small marks to the dustjacket and title page, please also bear in mind that each signature will be a little different from the one we show here. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, whether you’re a fan of his or not (but, quite frankly, I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t be). Hugh Bonneville is one of Britain’s most accomplished actors, familiar to audiences worldwide for his roles in Notting Hill, the Paddington films and Downton Abbey. The book is an autobiographical account of five years in the childhood of naturalist Gerald Durrell. Whether telling stories of working with divas, Dames or a bear with a penchant for marmalade, this is a richly entertaining account of his life as an actor.

The parts about Downton Abbey and Paddington were my favourite and I loved hearing about all the other cast and crew. Paddington is in charge of the 'eyetinnery', and, as Mrs Bird mutters darkly, 'There's no knowing where we might end up. A book which made me chuckle and sympathise with an actor’s life, this book is discursive, engaging and as entertaining as the many sightings of this versatile actor. Paddington In Peru, will start filming in London and Peru in 2023, after the bear took on a role saying his farewell to the Queen at the Jubilee celebrations in June. The majority of us will know him from his TV and movie work, and wouldn’t necessarily have had the luxury of seeing him on stage, so it was fascinating to hear about that side of his career and his progress to the big screen.Maybe it is not too late to enlist Dahl’s support against the insidious anti-vaxxers: every Dahl book or movie should come displayed with Dahl’s vaccination message. The cast won 3 Screen Actors Guild awards for Best Ensemble and the show was awarded a special BAFTA for its unique contribution to TV drama. Actor Noel Clarke says he is 'satisfied' after judge rules allegations of sexual misconduct against 20 women. No one was expecting much from another period drama, and the show’s publicists struggled to get advance press. Emilia Clarke reveals what her true fears were after suffering a brain haemorrhage: 'I wasn't afraid of dying.

Able to transfer from drama to comedy and seemingly not afraid to attempt some interesting image changes, Bonneville has a strong background of stage work which underpins his frequent television appearances in many series and well loved films. And the Rolls-Royce he'd expected to win turned out to be one of 10,000 consolation prizes - a bookmark!

For they really are a series of stories rather than a very linear start-to-finish biography, and I think the overall book is the stronger for it. Robin gradually realises that he’s in an alternate universe, where the Lib Dems are in power, the Dimbleby brothers are sports commentators and alcohol is a class-A drug. Priest 'kills and decapitates his wife in front of their terrified daughter, eight, in Halloween murder. It's a given that many, many British actors have roots in theatre and yet I still find myself surprised when I find out just how deep those roots go when it comes to actors I tend to associate with the screen. And be aware, as it does discuss bits of his personal life there are issues that could be upsetting: the death of his parents and a brother, how he and his wife had miscarriages before the birth of their son, etc.
