I'm happy that there's been some improvement, but in my humble opinion, the performance of this game at launch is downright inexcusable, and I think they STILL should be working on improving the performance, the last update was quite a while back.

anoyonmus Yeah, I totally want to play San Andreas on my Switch, even if it isn't running at my preferred frame rate of 120 (or 60 in the Switch's case). The consequences of that are the next remaster they publish will sell poorly, regardless of its quality.What happened is something that should NEVER happen, especially among big named game developers like Rockstar.

I am not sure how a decision made a few years ago was effected by the performance of a GTA trilogy release not so long ago. My wife and I game on the same switch, so I was already annoyed paying for a family plan when we wouldn't have to pay extra for it on any other system. If the funds have not yet been merged, you will have the option to do so during the purchase process. This particular Definitive Edition is still struggling to match what players were treated to with these games back in the day.Nintendo Life’s resident horror fanatic, when he’s not knee-deep in Resident Evil and Silent Hill lore, Ollie likes to dive into a good horror book while nursing a lovely cup of tea. Glad to hear theyve been working on this but that fact some of the mentioned issues still exist (vehicles materializing is still too close, and SA performance) is still not a good look and should not be issues on such old games, even on the Switch. I assume that GTAV on PS5/XBS will run at 4K with all the settings cranked up to high, so 120+ FPS may not be possible anyways. GTA and other remakes really should have a low resolution, lowered settings, mode that can provide excellent motion clarity.
