About this deal
It was used in different products from color-changing paper cups to kitchen toys where the play food would change color as you submersed it in cold water.
Chemistry is in everything, that can react with the chemicals put on fabrics in manufacturing, or the wash if adding softeners or starch! Unlike other fineliners and felt-tipped pens we tested, the Micron offers pleasant feedback when writing on typical paper without being scratchy, and the barrel was the most comfortable to hold. I used to be a stamping teacher and was always explaining the properties of different inks to students, so this makes total sense to me. Whether you’re taking notes in the office or meeting with clients, the stylish metal body of the Slim Biz will fit right in.The FriXion Ball Knock Biz has a streamlined design, and its business-appropriate body colors make it a great pen for working professionals. Most of the pens have transparent nosecones, which make it easy to check which colors are installed. Fineliners’ needlepoint tips make them a great choice for detailed sketches and crisp writing, with some friction against paper. I always wash my quilts when I’m done, so I was curious if washing, with regular laundry detergent, would remove the ink and the ghost marks.
If the inks were not designed to be archival quality and were never intended for use on fabric, what if those lingering chemicals eat away at the quilt fibers over time and it disintegrates along every marked line? Also, I meant to say that I’m sure the marking industry could make us something that works like the Frixion pens but doesn’t leave anything behind if they put their mind to it. People are not only unaware of the issues, but there are some big name teachers that say you’re just not steaming it enough, which I personally know not to be true.
Of the erasable pens we tested, here’s what we found: The ParKoo Retractable Erasable Gel Pens were a little streakier than the Pilot FriXion pens. The ink refills are smaller than those in a regular Jetstream pen, though, so they’re a bit less cost-effective. Although the Precise V5 RT doesn’t dry as quickly as the Jetstream, and therefore can smudge (not ideal for lefties), it performs well on most paper. I was really upset and concerned that now we may have set the stains especially when we realized that the RED marks were from a Red Sharpie Marker. For everyday writing, this pen is very, very wet, and it will likely leave the side of your pinkie or palm shellacked with dark ink.
