I listened to the audiobook and I think Red was even more annoying having to listen to her weirdness. Withedge-of-your-seattension and a gripping mystery, Holly Jackson has written another instant classic!She focused her major on creative writing as well as literary linguistics, something that has come in handy in her career as an author. While Five Survive has a completely different feel than AGGG, it still showcases Jackson's fluid and engaging writing style. She lives in London and aside from reading and writing, she enjoys playing video games and watching true crime documentaries so she can pretend to be a detective. the characters in here were definitely a mixed bag- some I genuinely liked, others were meh and even some inspired murder (can you guess who that last one is? I wasn't expecting it to get as dark as it did, but it definitely made sense for the context of the story.

The writing, as Holly Jackson has already proven numerous times, was amazing in its style, the flow of the story, and the development of the characters. This one will be tough to review without spoilers due to the nature of the story, so I’ll keep it brief and vague. Red is haunted by the execution-style murder of her mother, a police captain, and agonizes over what her last moments must have been like.If you want a book you can fly through in a single sitting, this is absolutely it, delivering thrills, betrayals and shock revelations in abundance.
