She accepted the offering but set it down with a hard clunk on her desk, right next to the stack of handwritten obituaries, waiting for her to sort, edit, and type them. It was empty, and she was pleased until she glanced at the assignment board and saw him standing there, waiting for her to appear. Truly the only complaint I have about this is that the sequel isn't out for ages and I need to know how it ends. As Advance Reader Copies of A River Enchanted are beginning to make their way into the world, I thought I should drop a note here about why this novel is adult, and where you can find the content warnings.While Ross' choice to sprinkle hints of the mythology and magic throughout the story leaves readers to focus on the character development and romance, it does keep us entirely in the dark.
