On previously stained decking, touch up bare areas and allow to dry before finishing with further coats. It has a unique double action formulation which has invisible anti-slip microbeads to make decks safer than untreated wood and an algicide to help protect the film surface from green algae and mould growth. For best results, apply using decking stain applicator to ensure balanced, even and smooth coverage. On decking previously stained with Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Stain, use a wire brush to remove any loose or peeling material and remove any surface contaminates as mentioned above.

The product does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC directives/German regulations on dangerous substances.Before application ensure that your decking area has been swept thoroughly and all dirt and debris has been removed. Decking that has already been previously coated with paint or decking stain must be stripped back to its natural bare wood before application can begin. Before full application of cuprinol decking stain, we always recommend testing out a small area on your decking surface to ensure you are happy with the products overall adhesion and finish.

It is also important to note that overall final colour will depend on wood type, previous treatments and the number of coats that have been applied. Ensure decked areas are swept with a stiff brush or broom to remove all surface dirt, debris and other surface contaminates.

Available in a range of Cuprinol Decking Stain colours, this hard wearing product is not only suitable to use on decking and decking steps, but is also perfect for use in larger commercial decking areas. If using more than one can, it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container or finish in a corner before starting a new can to ensure colour consistency. To begin, stir the decking stain thoroughly, and then apply 2-3 coats evenly along the grain, avoiding any overlaps where possible.
