This tequila is matured in both American and French oak casks and has notes more akin to whisky than tequila. Whilst I played with different combinations, my personal tasting panel helped to choose the winners. Other tequilas – especially pure versions, made with 100% agave – can be enjoyed in a short glass with ice.

I have recently been handed a challenge by Proof Drinks to come up with some tasty recipes using four different products: Cazcabel Honey, Cazcabel Coffee, Cazcabel Blanco and Sloane’s Gin. Cazcabel Coffee blends a roasted, sweet hit of luxury coffee to the spirit with chocolate and vanilla notes.Pour the Cazcabel Honey tequila into a glass with a few ice cubes, squeeze in the lime wedges and top up the glass with ice. The growing conditions of Arandas are ideally suited to growing very high-quality agave, one of the best regions within Jalisco.
