There's a nice bracelet between these two watches, and I even considered putting the M170 bracelet on the M100. Whoever is in charge of this at Casio is doing a terrible job as aside from the long codename, this watch’s name seems to bounce between any combination of its features and sub-ranges. I don't think this watch has AR coating, but that may be to its benefit given how much the dial comes to life under light. The only negatives for me personally are the lack of LCD backlight and the fact that we can't turn off the power-safe mode.Both watches a roughly the same size (although wear very differently), use the same dial (although not indices) and generally use the same design language throughout. These functions are all accessible via the 3 pushers, which beep with the same noise as other digital Casio’s that you may be familiar with.

Re: negative display, I've given up, only positive form me, a nice feature of the current crop of Lineage models is the relatively large size of the LCD letters/numerals that I can still read, I can barely read the LCD on my Oshi OCW-500/510 models due to failing close up vision.Analog, classic, stylish and laid back are some of the key words that come to mind when casting a casual glance at the Casio Lineage collection. The watches have been workhorse watches for me--the stopwatch function as well several of the other features of both. This is the sensible use of an ani-digi, where the littel screen does a bit more than a mechanical display can without getting all nutty. The lume itself is still weak, although it is applied better on the M100 than the M170 and as a result looks better done. As far as I can tell the Lineage series are one of Casio's mid-range offerings, and they all feature at least radio control and solar powered movements.
