About this deal

As the series is based on a novel by the same name by Kristin Hannah, fans, we’re probably expecting a few more series, so what’s happened? Like its predecessor, the sequel is centered on motherhood, loss and love, and is primarily told in flashbacks to reveal how all the characters are coping with what happens at the end of Firefly Lane, reuniting Tully, Marah and Tully’s mother. Kate’s daughter, sixteen-year-old Marah Ryan, is as lost in her grief as Tully is…until she falls in love with a young man who makes her smile again and leads her into his dangerous, shadowy world.

The author does an excellent job of exploring the complex emotions and reactions of the characters, particularly Marah, Kate’s teenage daughter, who is struggling to cope with the loss of her mother. Through it all, Tully learns to forgive herself for the mistakes she has made, and the characters come to realize the power of forgiveness and the importance of family and friendship.Through the course of the novel, Tully and the rest of Kate’s family must learn to come to terms with their loss and find a way to move forward.

Anyone who believes in true love or is simply willing to accept it as the premise of a winding tale will find this debut an emotional, satisfying read.
