About this deal
Only slight drawback is that clear parts will attain a slight mist, as Biostrip affects the surface of clear plastic. Building upon the success of our Biostrip 20– Biostrip Plus has been developed for use on masonry and brickwork. My latest attempt was with Isopropyl Alcohol and I can confirm what's been said so far: doesn't harm plastic, it *does* its job but requires a lot of scrubbing, it smells awfully and you don't want your skin get in touch with it for too long.
Honestly, resin is so soft, you could dip a toothbrush in water and you’d have a fair level of detail loss. Due to the harsh nature of paint stippers, it’s best to wear gloves whenever removing or handling a model which has been in paint stripper. Now we may be a little biased here but Biostrip 20 is an excellent way to get that old paint shifted without relying on harsh chemicals.
It is suitable for use in the home by the DIY enthusiast and also for large industrial applications as an alternative to Methylene Chloride based products. Do it in a bucket or dedicated (IPA resistant) container, let the IPA vent off outdoors, and wipe clean, dispose of wipes in the bin. Our wide range of products, whether it be for floor or hard surface cleaning, rust treatment or paint stripping have all been tried and tested in both factory and engineering situations. All FUZE products are manufactured in our ISO9001 accredited factory where strict quality procedures are followed.
Most of the time though, the IPA and brushing will thin the paint enough that your next primer coat will cover anything left over. The thickened formulation will adhere to any surface, reducing drips to a minimum and avoiding waste.
