About this deal

El diseño de esta bocina mejora el rendimiento de las frecuencias elevadas y genera un preciso patrón de radiación de 90˚H X 60˚V, ideal para conseguir una óptima cobertura de la audiencia. We've been using these for almost two years and they have worked wonderfully for our oldies, classic country trio!

So why should you consider the Alto TX3 series over models from some of the other established brands? Power comes from Class‑D amplifiers rated at 350 Watts peak or 175 Watts continuous, and the overall system has a specified frequency response of 75Hz to 20kHz at the ‑3dB points.

The closest alternative is possibly the Mackie Thump series although the Alto TX3 series still offers a significant saving. There’s also a useful amount of mic gain if you plug a mic directly into the XLR input, which is always good to know for those ‘broken mixer’ emergencies or for basic announcement work, though there’s no opportunity to add EQ or effects if you work that way. That being the case, it isn’t really surprising that it doesn’t sound as ‘hi‑fi’ as a decent mini line array and that its midrange is perhaps less precise, but with a little mixer EQ you can get a very workable vocal sound out of these speakers, and a pair will provide adequate volume for smaller venues, where the feedback threshold will probably place a limit on volume before the power of the speaker does. The Alto TX 3 series starts with the TX-308, a compact powered PA speaker ideal for smaller sound requirements, portable setups and monitoring.

This horn design of the TX3 Series improves high frequency performance and produces a very precise 90ºH X 60ºV dispersion pattern - ideal for optimum coverage. If you play your guitar in front of your computer, only for yourself, and don't move around then a pair of studio monitors (in stereo) is the way to go. It’s probably no surprise then that this is a hot market sector; pretty much every major manufacturer has an offering in this segment, Alto, purveyor of affordable, no-nonsense gear has just waded in with the TX3 series. The horn design improves high frequency performance and produces a very precise 90°x 60° dispersion that achieves optimum coverage.

One of the reasons I choose to use Yamaha DXR speakers is that there are sometimes situations I play in where it's not feasible or necessary to send the instruments through the PA, and the PA is reserved for just vocals, harmonica, and some percussion like the kick drum. We haven't been using it long, but we can definitely reach all the way throughout a medium sized dining room and probably a lot further.
