About this deal

Niesel, Jeff. "Folk Duo the Secret Sisters Get a Well-Deserved Second Chance". Cleveland Scene . Retrieved January 25, 2018.

The Secret Sisters went on tour in 2017 in support of their new record. The tour launched on May 13 in their hometown of Florence, Alabama and continued touring through the end of 2017. [19] Saturn Return is the Alabama-based duo’s second release for New West Records. Like its predecessor, 2017’s Grammy-nominated You Don’t Own Me Anymore, the record was produced by Brandi Carlile and Phil and Tim Hanseroth. Before I dive into some solutions, I want to offer some questions your team may want to use to assess the effectiveness and purpose of your secret sister program. 3 Questions to Use to Assess Your Secret Sister Program There is a sisterhood within our local church whose bond is made possible by the blood of Christ. We are a church family. Colleen was more likeable, but still not very realistic. I don’t want to ruin anything, but there was a huge contradiction between what her personality was, and what she was meant to have lived like for the past 10 years. It just felt like lazy writing, as the two halves of her story just never felt true. Speaking of the writing, I also found the tone very uneven and inconsistent. It veered from domestic drama to psychological thriller, whilst also throwing in a level of cheese that seemed straight out of a hallmark film.

The only thing besides her poor choices in men was her struggle with her depression. It had been something that had plagued her for awhile. Making the decision to stop taking her meds seemed to have had a strong impact on her life. Noticing the change in her for awhile, on the way to a doctors appointment, Cathy decided it was time to confront Roxanne about what has been happening with her.

Secretly Saying “I Care”

Ella’s life is turned upside down when she discovers, after her mother’s death, that she has an older half sister, Colleen. She cannot believe that her mother could have had a child and given her away. Ella decides that she must try and find this mystery sister. Ella is married to Greg and they have a daughter Maisie. Greg tries to dissuade Ella from finding her sister but she is determined that she will be the sister she has always wanted. Colleen’s life is a mess, she is married to Jake who is very controlling. She decides to leave him and go over to Ireland as she has discovered that who she thought was her ‘mother’ was in fact her Aunt so she is on a mission to find her biological father. Ella traces Colleen, and her and her family fly over to Ireland to meet up with her. When they finally meet they realise that they are two totally different people even though they are half sisters but they could never imagine what events will trigger from this and when Colleen’s past catches up with her things turn very nasty. The story is told from Ella’s and Colleen’s perspective and was brilliantly written. I find it hard to believe that this was written by two authors. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and definitely recommend it to other readers,

The usual catalogue of guilt, secrets, betrayal and lies weaves its damaging way through the past to present day relationships with the possibility that the sisters will not survive the onslaught. If your heart’s desire is for women to grow in their relationship with one another while growing in their relationship with God discipleship groups could provide a better path toward achieving that goal. You’ll find many additional posts on discipleship on the Women’s Ministry Toolbox blog. This was an easy read, written from both Ella and Colleen's point of view it flows well and has believable characters whose lives are about to collide in a world where there are some slightly iffy coincidences as well as original moments of jeopardy. I enjoyed it and would definitely read more in the future by these two authors. The book is written in the perspective of four different people. The characters are so well developed and the book is so well written that the different perspectives don't take away from the book but add to the story. I could feel the different emotions of the characters as I read from their perspective everything they were going through. The story unfolds at just the right speed that my interest stayed strong throughout to see what would happen. Just when I thought I knew what was going on something would be revealed that would change everything. When the synopsis said that there was a paranormal twist to this story I was intrigued and when I read it I wasn't disappointed. I don't usually read full on paranormal books but this was a really good balance for me. It blended the paranormal with the normal well and the blending of the two worked well.
