About this deal

The Samson C01U Pro is a mobile musician's dream come true. With a simple USB connection straight into your computer, the C01U Pro brings studio-quality sound to your mobile sessions and podcasts. Musicians who record music on computers now have a simple, affordable way to capture high-quality vocal and acoustic instrument performances. And a built-in headphone amplifier delivers instant access to zero-latency monitoring. Get an easy-to-use and all-in-one recording solution with the Samson C01U Pro USB microphone. Photo: Mark EwingThe quoted input noise is a reasonable, but by no means exceptional, 23dBA EIN, and in normal project-studio applications is certainly low enough to be considered negligible. At 10mV/Pa, the sensitivity is roughly comparable with many other studio capacitor mics, possibly just a decibel or two less, and the frequency curve is nominally flat for all patterns, with the exception of a gentle presence peak centred at around 7kHz. With the pad switched in, the mic can put up with SPLs of up to 142dB without flinching, and the specified frequency response is from 40Hz to 18kHz at the -3dB points.

Micro thu âm Samson C01U Prođược trang bị thêm dải đèn LED để giúp người dùng có thể nhận biệt được micro đang được sử dụng nguồn Based on a large-diaphragm Chinese-built capsule, the mic is very nicely styled and cleanly engineered, with a choice of supercardioid, omni or figure-of-eight polar patterns. Supercardioid is a bit of an odd choice for studio work, but looking at the supplied polar plots indicates that it isn't too tight — very narrow cardioid patterns can be problematic if you're working with a singer who moves around a lot. The USB-ready Samson C01U Pro microphone makes recording easier than ever. Just plug directly into your computer and start recoding. You don't need any bulky preamps or audio interfaces, it's all built into the C01U Pro. This is ideal for mobile recording rigs, podcasting, and more. And with recording resolutions up to 16-bit/48kHz you'll get great sounding audio every time. Whether you're recording vocal and instruments, VoIP, speech to text programs, or podcasting, the Samson C01U Pro has the features and functionality you need. Built-in headphone amp for monitoring Basically, a standard microphone (3-pin/”XLR” connector) needs extra electronics and a way to plug it into a computer. You use an interface box for that. An interface provides phantom power (condenser mics need 48v of power), conversion of sound to digital format, and preamplification (“preamps”). This classic USB microphone bridges the gap between mid-range USB audio adapters and professional products that require additional drivers, special software and/or excessive cabling. The C01U is USB compatible with any Mac or PC, as well as most DAW software programs. Its superior ability to produce pristine audio recordings with ease and mobility, along with the included desktop mic stand, mic clip, USB cable and carrying case, make the C01U a valuable addition to any studio.

A new mic from Samson offers true capacitor design and multi-pattern operation at an extremely affordable price. It has a very nice build, is made of metal, and feels solid in your hand 🙂 Some have complained that it leaves a rather large footprint on your desk, because of the fact that it stands about a foot tall. Pros That said, one reviewer commented that Audacity’s noise reduction feature helps. It also helps to place the CO1U at about 5-6″ from your face while recording. This is the sweet spot according to some reviewers.

Samson C01U Pro - Versus Blue Yeti Nano vs Samson C01U Pro - Versus

As you can see from the graph, the on-axis response is commendably flat, with a gentle rise of around 3–4 dB at 10 kHz—this gives the mic a nice sense of detail on voices and instruments (like acoustic guitar), and is inline with the response of most vocal condensers. Directionality is as advertised, and the mic did a good job of rejecting room noise. The USB connection Both have a pretty similar sound and compete heavily with each other. Many people say they prefer the Yeti’s sound over the CO1U. You be the judge!Samson CO1U Pro. This is an updated version of the mic and improves on a lot of the shortcomings of the CO1UCW as mentioned above. Needs to be plugged directly into a USB port on your laptop/computer. Some say it doesn’t do well plugged into a separate USB hub. The best thing about it is the signal-to-noise ratio! I have the original version of the Samson C01U, and the hiss from the mic is quite loud. It CAN be removed with noise reduction fairly easily, since it was a steady consistent noise. But it would be much better to prevent it in the first place. And with the C01U Pro, Samson has almost completely gotten rid of that hiss!

Best in voice-over type applications: pod-casting, you-tube videos, spoken word, video tutorials, and live commentary. Being that it’s USB, you won’t have to tinker around with extraneous gear. Some folks get scared off from USB setups because they seem cheap, easy, but not satisfying. What you’re getting here is a versatile piece of equipment with great sound quality. Speaking of: But a USB mic needs none of that. All of that stuff is inside the mic. And the power comes from the USB connection. You just plug the mic directly into your computer and you’re ready to record. Size. The Yeti looks sort of like a mini spaceship, while the CO1U resembles that of a normal microphone. Lol. Some criticize the Yeti’s size, being that it’s ginormous and takes up a lot of room on your desk (it’s about a foot tall). A switch on the rear of the mic allows selection between supercardioid, omni, and figure-of-eight polar patterns. Photo: Mark EwingAnd though this is not truly a fair comparison, here is the same voiceover recorded with my Rode/Scarlett 2i2 combo (a setup that costs more than 4 times what the Samson costs). Voiceover recorded on Rode NT2-A through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface Comparison with Samson Q2U dynamic USB mic If you want the simplest possible computer recording setup, it doesn't come much more straightforward than this: a mic that plugs straight into your Mac or PC's USB ports. This is one of the best options you can go with if you’re looking to record with skype, doing any pod-casting, you-tube videos, video conferencing, and anything similar. I wouldn’t recommend it much for vocals, although it can be done. The 4 different polar patterns, its rugged build, and remarkable versatility make it an affordable and valuable option… Similarities & Differences Similarities

Samson C01U Pro USB Mic : Ask.Audio Review: Samson C01U Pro USB Mic : Ask.Audio

The Samson C03 is a smart-looking mic with multi-pattern performance at a budget price. Its technical spec is more than adequate in all the areas that are important, and what really matters is that it makes a fine job of just about anything you care to point it at. Extremely detailed sound reproduction ideal for recording vocals, acoustic instruments, and just about any other sound source Finally, it has some compatibility issues as well, and the Cakewalk software isn’t very intuitive. Most everyone said just use Audacity. One reviewer said it best, there is the Windows camp that loves this mic, and the Mac users who hate it. In a nutshell:Micro thu âm Samson C01U Promang tới tần số âm thanh chất lượng cao với Độ phân giải 16 bit, 44,1 / 48kHz I feel the low-cut filter is best not used for vocal recording, as it noticeably affects the bottom end of the vocal range. It could be useful when using the mic as a drum overhead, though, as it often helps to roll off the bass when mixing the sound in with the predominantly middly and bassy close mics. Okay, let’s get to the important stuff. How does it sound? Well I have always been a fan of the C01U and its sound quality. I made several recordings of the Pro to help judge how good it sounds.
