Pricing it this low saved them in many ways, and although it’s not a handheld that I would personally buy but it’s certainly one I can recommend to those wanting to buy their first handheld emulator.

The RG35XX features the Actions ATM7039S quad core processor running up to 1.6GHz with a quad core PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. Combined they provide enough performance for all 4 th generation gaming consoles and some newer ones. The retro gaming handheld comes with 256MB DDR3 RAM which is more than enough for the OS and emulator for the gaming consoles it supports. Other functions: Support 2.4G wireless gamepad and wired gamepad connection, HDMI output TV, vibrating motor Atari ST ( hatari): improved virtual keyboard (change keys position and colors closer to an ST), some bugfixesIt typically comes pre-loaded cutting out the fuss of having to install your own ROMs, it has a nice 3.5” screen opening it up to older adults who don’t want tiny screens, it lasts a good couple of hours on a single charge and the menus are incredibly to understand, making it a good started device for children. The initial directory will be the directory of the current video file/playlist (e.g. “Roms/VIDEOS”), and it will show the last viewed directory if you open the file selector again.

And it is much the same for the Master System, all the games I tried worked fine with no issues at all. PlayStation 1 PlayStation 1 Emulation But emulation on the RG35XX retro gaming handheld is overall pretty good, it plays PlayStation 1 with no apparent issues. However, I would have liked to have seen if frame skipping is definitely used on some of the emulators, and the option to disable it. Anbernic RG35XX is powered by an Actions ATM7039S 4-core processor, allowing you to play most of the retro games on its 3.5” IPS display. It is a mini handheld that can emulate PS1, CPS, FBA, NEOGEO, GBA, GBC, etc. games and comes at a competitive price. It’s not the most powerful handheld out there, but what it does come with plays very well indeed. Swapping OS - The secondary Garlic OS is a bit confusing when it gets to configuring Retroarch and so on - Not very new user friendly but there are plenty of YouTube videos out there to help

Putting that expertise to good use, we decided to start RetroSix; a small team of people passionate about retro gaming, and restoring original consoles to like-new, adding our own twist and style to them and in general bringing a modern twist to retro. The best Playstation 1 games also had very little issues, it ran as it should and the 3.5” screen did well, although some text were a little small in some games, but that’s it really. Overall Opinion The 2100 mAh battery which Anbernic claims lasts up to 5 hours. In our tests with Tekken 3 on the PS1 we got 3 hours 3 minutes which is very good.
