I liked how messed up Peter and Hook's relationship starts off; sword-fighting is practically their way of foreplay. It actually worked well, cause that's the Hook and Peter we're most accustomed to; always sword-fighting and bantering. I also appreciated the fact that the characters in this book are all in the gray area; there's no true good or evil. It added to the realism. Peter loved to paint Hook as the villain, but the book slowly deconstructed all that and got into the humanity of all of them. Anyway I finished it now and it was somehow even better than the first time, I would like to thank Austin Chant for my life Y así fue como llegué a este libro. His eyes were clever, green, and restless, constantly darting about to take in his surroundings; his mouth was a whimsical line, caught somewhere between a frown and a smile, ever threatening to tip toward one or the other. Hook couldn’t place the man anywhere in his memories, and he thought he would have kept a record of that smile. It was maddening. I didn’t ask you for a riddle, nor these arrogant claims. I want your name, stranger. Give it to me before my patience runs out.He felt a hard conk against his head. Looking down a half eaten apple landed at Peter's feet. Thank god, the cupcake would have been a nightmare cleaning out of his hair in the school bathroom.

Sienna - a very agile girl who only appears in the second season. She was once a Lost Kid, but she left and has been a loner ever since. She is a skilled thief and is interested in various valuable or magical objects, as well as Smee's food which she often steals They both took their seats in the classroom. It'd be extremely hard to say something about the book's plot without giving away the narrative twist that is at its core, so I'll try to avoid too many details here.

As expected from an #ownvoices book, it felt so real and raw and I loved it, recommend it, want to talk about it to everyone. Ugh. As soon as I saw that Peter Darling followed a transgender Peter Pan, 10 years after the story we all know, with a possible Pan/Hook romance, I was sold. One night-raid saw over 4000 shells bombard the platoon’s position followed by Chinese soldiers fighting ‘like tigers’ until dawn. It was a dire situation but Stormonth Darling showed his mettle and led his men with authority and bravery. Of the experience he wrote, “it stretched to the limit whatever qualities of leadership I may have possessed”. Here is a little writing sample for you – it is very near the end of the story, and as I said, the romance between them is not a spoiler, but I hope the happy ending is not a spoiler either.
