The main feature of the app is the on screen timer and guide that shows you where to brush and how well you have brushed. It is important for your oral health to replace your toothbrush head every 3 months or sooner if your bristles are frayed.
The handle itself is a fairly slim profile and comes in either a white or pink gloss finish which looks sleek. The slimline profile also makes it easy to hold. It is also rubberized which makes the electric toothbrush handle easy to hold even when wet. The on and off button which also controls the cleaning mode (more on this later) is very easy to press and very easy to change the cleaning modes. The handle is also waterproof so you could take it into the shower with you if you so wished. Other Features You have to stand in front of your smartphone when brushing and can’t really move as the brush movements need to be seen by the camera.Below, is a list of models we have compared to one another, plus some that we have compared to their Sonicare equivalents. You change cleaning modes by pressing the on and off button multiple times. The first time you press it, it will go to daily clean, the second time you press it, it will go to gum care, the third time you press it, it will go to sensitive and the fourth time you press it, it will go to whitening (only with the 3D white version Oral-B Smart 4 4000w). Sealed inside, these parts are protected from water and moisture. This means that the brush is water resistant and can be rinsed under a tap and used in a shower. Yes it most certainly is and can be used in the shower if you want to. Is this Electric Toothbrush Noisy? Sadly with this Oral-B smart toothbrush, you will need to hold the smartphone or come up with your own mounting solution in the bathroom. Brushing for the full 2 minutes is very important, but just as important if not more so is the right technique. Make sure you learn how to clean your teeth properly. There are 2 parts to the brush, the handle I have been describing. This has all the clever bits of technology in.I understand why though. If it did, there is no way of showing what mode it is on, unless you use the app. Both brushes come with thestandard ‘Daily Clean’ mode. They both then have a Sensitive mode. For the majority of people, myself included the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is the toothbrush to go for. It offers a balance of cleaning performance and features at a price most will find affordable. On the rear of the handle rather than raised plastic ridges, the 3000 has a more subtle dimpled surface.Both models offer most of the benefits of an electric toothbrush without having to pay ‘too’ much for them. There weren’t many negative remarks about the 4000. One of the only ones that we found was that the 2 minute timer can’t be switched off. However, the toothbrush simply carries on going past the 2 minutes, and the majority of reviewers did mention that they found the timer useful.
