About this deal

Cue the inevitable Bandai Hobby Online Shop Selects Event exclusive "Invisible Mode" transluent redeco.

Several minor changes were made to this mold for this release. The holes for his missile launchers in his arms were widened, but not the launcher's insertion pegs. The wing's missile launcher insertion points were lengthened and are now curved at the end. The last rectangle on his air intakes was further modified from the Classics version, this time the bottom most rectangle goes completely across the air intake's surface rather than just the center. Henkei! Henkei! Skywarp and Universe Starscream also saw most of these changes. A redeco of the Classics Starscream mold, Timelines Sunstorm transforms into a F-15 Eagle, but has the nose of an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. His missile launchers can mount under his wings, on his shoulders, or in his fists, and fire spring-loaded projectiles. The large size of his launchers (necessary for safety reasons) restricts his arm movement somewhat in robot mode, as they bump into his wings. All three Rainmakers have slight tolerance issues with the white parts, making key joints juuuuuust a bit too tight. The Diaclone version of the Starscream mold featured tailfins with solid tips and solid fists, and both these features carried over to the earliest Transformers releases. Soon, however, the Transformers mold was modified to add hollow tips to the fins, and tabs to the insides of the fists to allow them to hold onto his arms tighter, resulting in a visible slit on either side of each one. These altered versions became the standard for all subsequent reissues of the mold. Like all his 1984 brethren, a rubsign was added to Starscream in 1985. The term Seeker refers to Decepticon jet troopers who share Starscream's body-type but with different colors or minor variations in wing and head shapes. This is most clearly and commonly known from Generation 1, but any franchise with a Starscream is almost inevitably going to feature a similar "family" of redecoed jet-formers.He does have light piping, but it doesn't illuminate his eyes, only the crystal thing on his forehead. Fully jointed and highly articulated, including articulated ankles, feet, torso and fingers, which allows for intricate posabilty in action poses, especially when holding weapon accessories

Skywarp was only released in China via Hasbro Asia under the TakaraTomy label; marking the second time an original TakaraTomy Masterpiece toy wasn't released for the Japanese market ( Masterpiece Megatron Gold Version was the first). Accessories: 5 alternate faces, Gun mode Megatron, 5 effect parts, 2-part stand base, stand arm, stand cradle, pincer, drill, asteroid fragment The Transformers fandom has long mused upon the possibility of female Seekers (and produced countless self-insertion characters that are variants on the theme). A piece of Hasbro concept art of what appeared to be a female Seeker design appeared on the BotCon 2005-exclusive cover of Infiltration #0, but the idea didn't fully see fruition until 2008's Animated Slipstream, the first canonical female character to share a body template with a Starscream.Sunstorm was one of many offworlders in Axiom Nexus's Under City. Sunstorm was part of a crowd in Seeker-Shinai that C-81 attempted to disperse through intimidation. Unfortunately, all the Seekers present were too stunned to see a "Megatron" in Axiom Nexus to budge. Cybertron's Most Wanted Beast Wars: Uprising As a redeco of the MP-11 release, Sunstorm is likely to be plagued with the same quality control issues. Acid Storm's original deco would have been significantly different, such as featuring a different pilot and co-pilot (" MSGT. Bill 'Brawlin' Brawley" and " SSGT. Mark 'Tag' Maher"), and being far more busy. He would have had numerous additional tampographs, such as a reference to him being part of the " 924th Rainmakers", a reference to a " Toxitron Weapons System", " Bringing the Pain Rain", and even Rainbow Dash's cutie mark! [5] As a redeco of the MP-11 release, Acid Storm is likely to be plagued with the same quality control issues.

Like all other uses of the mold, Skywarp has a missing molded panel-line detail on the right wing hinge that is supposed to curve in towards the body of the jet. The reason for this missing detail is likely due to it missing from the metal mold itself.

Transformers MP-48 Masterpiece Lio Convoy

In the 1990s, Hasbro evidently had more redeco plans for Starscream (and the paired Ramjet) that fell through: This set was made available at general retail in U.S. Target stores without a prior announcement from Hasbro, then much later Entertainment Earth got a run of them in 2021. Part of the eighth wave of 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class toys, Thrilling 30 Skywarp is a redeco of Generations: Fall of Cybertron Starscream, and transforms into a Cybertronian jet fighter. He comes with two spinning, triple-barreled cannons which can combine to form a larger hand-held weapon that is geared to spin its two triple-barrels together, and resembles the Neutron assault rifle from Fall of Cybertron. Each of the weapon halves features two 5 mm posts, as well as a peg-hole on their hollow sides, while the combined form features another peg-hole at the top, but makes the peg-holes on the hollow sides inaccessible. Skywarp features numerous 5 mm peg-holes, such as his hands, forearms, lower legs, and wing undersides. As a Deluxe-sized Unite Warriors figure, he can form the leg or arm of any Combiner Wars-style Combiner or into one of Legends Godbomber's legs, but is normally associated with Grand Galvatron. As such, his large (non-firing) double-missile-launcher accessory can convert into either a hand or foot for combiner forms. Hirofumi Ichikawa, who both named Sunstorm and wrote his original bio, also considered the names Flareburst and Flarestorm for him. [3]
