About this deal

Bring to life all the exciting train station action from the Thomas & Friends™ show with this Knapford Station playset In the Shining Time Station episode, A Place Unlike Any Other, Ringo Starr's line "and off he ran laughing" was used, much like its UK counterpart, while some US dubs of Ringo Starr's dub have him say, "And off Thomas ran laughing." S.C. Ruffey's HO model's frames are grey instead of rusty orange. This was corrected on his large scale, and N scale models.

The HO scale oil, cream and raspberry syrup tankers and the mail coach were all initially released as they appeared in the model series but were reissued with their CGI series insignia in 2011. Season 3 - High Speed Gordon!, Thomas and Terence, Off The Rails, Henry Needs Help Again and James and Toby Spencer's footplate flattens out at the cab, unlike his television series model which keeps going at a slope. His boiler is also too thin. During Clive Spong's time as illustrator, the station was usually incorrectly depicted as having six terminal roads and two glass canopies, with the "through" road outside the station's glass roof.

Furthermore, Knapford appears to be larger than Tidmouth, whereas the Rev. W. Awdry stated in The Island of Sodor: Its People, History and Railways that it is smaller than Tidmouth. This episode marks the only appearance of Thomas' yawning and drowsy faces until the eighth series and the second series episode, Thomas Comes to Breakfast, respectively. Thomas is a blue tank engine who works at a big station called Knapford on an island called Sodor. His job is to fetch coaches for the other engines and then take them away the engines are done pulling them and when the passengers get out. Thomas thinks he works the hardest and is often very cheeky to the bigger engines, especially a big and proud engine named Gordon who pulls the Express. Thomas likes to startle him rudely by teasing him with his loud whistle. Part of his boiler is raised due to the middle section not being reassembled properly before shooting. The cab steps are mounted on the valences instead of under the footplate. Strangely, his prototype model did not have this problem.
