About this deal

As for the tips, they were fine for me though some failed to get a good seal. I will recommend KZ Starlines if you’re having some fit trouble. The cables are thin and soft, never once feeling annoying nor weighing down on the earbuds. They are unfortunately, not detachable cannot be replaced if it spoils. The only way to replace it is by soldering. The treble is elevated but not by much compared to its bass and has a decent extension and air. Detail retrieval is also good and serviceable for its price without offending most ears I observed throughout my test as I heard nuances fairly easily. Finishing the last paragraph, what the KS2 provides over the other three is a quality sound, that invites you to either listen while having that dram of single malt or raise the volume with some local lager. Either way, the KS2 provides a very good end listening platform with which to finish your day. Or start, sans the alcohol (please...). Either way, the KS2 does not bother me with fallacies that are enough to cause me to switch units. I happily listen for that short time frame or longer as needed, and after all; isn’t that the point? To listen?

The comfort feels alright for an earbud, and I do not get any irritations from the housing of the earbuds as I prefer to use the earbuds as is without the foam covers. The edges are all smooth and feels comfortable on my ears. I remember using the VE Monks and feeling rather annoyed with it as the edges of the plastic kept poking against my ears. There's a slight lower treble boost, but this set is not sibilant and harsh in the upper treble. In fact it doesn't have that great treble extension and isn't an airy set. Trebleheads will probably not like this set. A review unit of the KEAR KS1 was sent to me (at a nominal price) by KBEAR on the understanding that I would be free to give my honest opinion of these In Ear Monitors.

Bass – Lots of bass without muddying the sound. Punchy and mid-bass dominant. There is, surprisingly, sub-bass. But don’t expect a rumble. It’s audible and that in itself is a huge compliment for earbuds. It stays fairly controlled, tight and is very engaging. It is also way more textured than my other buds. I’d take this over my other flathead buds (not semi in-ear) if we’re talking about bass. As for the design of KS2 - its quite generic to current trend like KZ with good quality plastic resin finishing with decent cable slightly better than similar price KZ offerings. The size and fitting is good imho and also weight wise is light and comfort factor is good. In general, however, the high frequencies are heard decently and, despite the confusion, they allow a pleasant and relaxing listening of most musical genres.Soundwise, let's say that this IEM plays just a bit above of its price point, but it's not very much asking. Punchy bass that will satisfy those listening to modern music genres or liking a (very) V-shape sound signature. Mediums are way too recessed for my taste. Treble is ok, with a decent extension, it can become a bit aggressive at times, especially if the recording calls for it, but nothing really bad here. This is also the same for SPiCYSOL's "Mellow Yellow", mostly hearing it but it does not go low. It also tends to be drowned out by the rest of the instruments and vocals when it gets into the chorus. Night torch – Denzel Moiz -for the excellent violin (correct me on this instrument please) play at start, I just love that part and then the slow dub step /EDM – I really wasn’t expecting this but it was really great on EDM—a relaxing and engaging type though!! But don’t get me wrong it was NOT slow , it was fast and accurate with the beats !! It was not congested either. The instruments notes had enough timbre to make it feel natural but the energy seemed a bit less ALWAYS. DISCLAIMER- I ain’t a reviewer or an audiophile , just an music lover !! I wasn’t sent a sample of Believe, I paid for it – then sold it later on for buying something else and regretted it since it went out of production As an avid retro gamer, I think these are a solid choice for a Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Vita, PSP & PS4/PS5 controller. The V shaped tuning with sub bass emphasis is a lot of fun in action games.

Lately, this company have evolve in temrof tuning expertise, the Kbear Diamond and KB04 being good exemple of well balanced and refined tuning. The IEM is composed of a lightweight polycarbonate shell that weighs around 3.75 grams per IEM. For comparison, all-metal shelled earphones like the Fiio FH7 weigh more than twice this.

This model form Kbear doesn’t get the attention it deserve, as they are quite competent for a super budget hybrid. There are only seven 3-star (★★★) IEMs (with the inclusion of the Aria and the Timeless, up from 5 from the previous update), making it the most prestigious award where only 0.71% have it. Soundstage is quite wide, however the slightly confused trebles makes the expression of the stage with some reverb and without a good instrumental separation. I still believe it’s pleasant to listen to. Treble is where KS1 has a bit of an edge. It doesn’t mean it excels. KS1 treble can be described as detailed but not piercing. E500 has a relaxed treble meanwhile Tanya has a hint of lower treble but nothing special up top. I think this is where these IEMs shine. The KS2s have a pretty good bass response, especially in the sub-bass. The mid-bass is also pretty impactful but occasionally gets a little messy.

Soundstage is slightly out of head for the highs and mids but bass is definitely within your head and always in the middle. Coming to the Amping side if the story – you can literally taste or rather hear the difference between them be clear, as sour is from sweet!! Female vocals sound pretty great per se , they are well balanced. Not a hint of sibliance at all. They are well extended with air in their voice which comes through pretty nicely!! The KS2 has an almost outrageous V-signature, but it's really fun and the mid-range is not neglected. The included cable is ok. It’s a good step up with what’s included with the Blon BL-03. In that it doesn’t tangle up as easily and has a more comfortable fit around the ear. It is a good cable for free and the right angle 3.5mm connector is awesome for portable gaming.

TREBLES: Although there are no particular hisses or excesses generated by the balanced armature in the output nozzle, the highs are a bit confused and poorly controlled, especially in the frequencies between 4k and 8k there is a lot of confusion. That’s one more reason why drummers will not love this headset: the charlestones are a bit of a slap and the bass drums do not explode as they should (don't try listening to Dream Theater, you will cry). The overall sound output is slightly U shaped with excellent bass extension and smooth yet detailed treble. The mids are placed forward with nice engaging vocals. They are quite energetic in sound output. There is a slight hint of sibilance which is like genre specific especially female vocals but not troublesome or fatiguing. In fact this is one of the best non fatiguing earphones I have tested. Ranks will be determined based on the best unit tried. Because of this, I am not accounting for unit variation. I cannot guarantee that what I’m hearing is what you will be hearing.
