A Carnotaurus was scripted to appear in Jurassic Park /// in a scene in which it would approach the characters while they were searching through spinosaur dung, roaring and charging at them but ultimately reacting to the smell in a disgusted manner. In the final film, this was replaced by a scene in which a Ceratosaurus approaches the group non-aggressively and is frightened away when it smells the spinosaur dung. Carnotaurus has often found itself at the forefront of political debates. When it was first announced that Masrani Global had bred this dinosaur for Jurassic World, it reawakened the debate on whether genetic engineering, de-extinction, or cloning should be more heavily regulated or even banned. Some members of the public used it as an example of the practice of de-extinction having gone too far, while others such as Dr. Ian Malcolm denied that a ban would be effective and that it would be more realistic to prepare for the inevitable consequences of that science. In Season 4 episode 4: Rude Awakening, This is the first time that Toro is seen since the two previous seasons and mention in Season 3. He made a brief appearance in Yaz's nightmare along with a Ceratosaurus and the two deceased hybrids - The Indominus rex and Scorpios rex.Carnotaurus (meaning “meat-eating bull”) is a genus of moderately large abelisaurid theropod dinosaur, discovered in 1984 by Argentinian paleontologist José Fernando Bonaparte. It is known from a single adult skeleton, mostly complete, which was unearthed on the farm Pocho Sastre located in La Colonia Formation of Chubut Province, Argentina. The only known species of Carnotaurus, called C. sastrei, is named in honor of the farm’s owner Angel Sastre. This dinosaur lived during the Maastrichtian age of the late Cretaceous period, between 72 and 69.9 million years ago. In the original script for Jurassic World: Dominion, the scarred Carnotaurus was originally meant to be Toro, however the executive producer of Camp Cretaceous, Scott Kreamer, thought it didn't fit well in the story, and Toro was replaced by a different individual. [12]

This disproves another new recent fan theory that the Carnotaurus in Jurassic World: Dominion was Toro. InGen bred Carnotaurus on Isla Sorna sometime between 1986 and 1993. Population statistics remain unknown for that period of time, as do the animals’ range; John Hammond‘s statements in 1997 would imply that the Carnotaurus inhabited the island’s central reaches. As of last count in 1993, InGen reported two Carnotaurus living on Isla Sorna. It is conceivable that once Toro recovers from his physical injuries, he may continue to pursue the campers in his hunt. Without the protection of Bumpy, the campers may face increased risk. Had this been kept in the finalized version, this would marked the first time Toro had successfully killed a human, as well as being the first Carnotaurus in the film canon to do so. However, this would eventually happen in " The Last Stand", in which Toro killed a mercenary after being freed from mind-control. One of the most distinctive species of theropod dinosaurs, Carnotaurus was first cloned by InGen during the creation of Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, with the company possessing a pair of Carnotaurus on Isla Sorna in the 1990s. [1] While these animals weren't encountered during the incidents on Sorna in 1997 and 2001, the species itself was eventually exhibited in Jurassic World on Isla Nublar, [2] which opened in 2004. It is unknown if these Carnotaurus were transported from Isla Sorna once the island's biosphere began to collapse. [1]Later on, if the viewer chooses to escape Hidden Adventure in the vehicle ride, Toro appears to challenge the Tarbosaurus to a fight. Their brawl will lead them inside the Hidden Adventure main area. The viewer can then choose for Darius to distract the dinosaurs, allowing the others to enter Hal Brimford's underground bunker. The distraction works long enough, and the campers escape, allowing the dinosaurs to continue their fight. With the Indominus Rex being part Carnotaurus was really easy for her to reason with Toro, as she so splendidly demonstrated when she communicated with the raptors.
