About this deal

The ES100 has a rated battery life of 14 hours which is better than what most Bluetooth earphones and a lot of the current DAPs offer. Considering its size, weight and power output this is really impressive. Sound For quite some time, the EarStudio ES100 has been the benchmark portable Bluetooth DAC. This deceivingly little device offers so much more than its size would make one think: not only does it sport Bluetooth with high-quality codecs, it also has high power output (in relation to size) and a companion app that is just wonderful. And all this for an affordable sum! The BTR3 comes with a Type-C interface, and an audio codec indicator that shows different colours with different codecs. There are quite a few bluetooth receivers available on the market now, including some crazy expensive ones, and some affordable ones, but the most prominent competitors for ES100MK2 are FiiO BTR5, FiiO BTR3K and Qudelix 5K. Inside the box is the Earstudio ES100, a USB to Micro-USB charging cable, a lanyard and a card illustrating the basic operation of the unit.

The ES100 has almost completely replaced my other portable headphone amps (Walnut F1 and Auglamour GR-1). Not only does it sound better regardless of how you're opting to connect to your device, but its also smaller, lighter, and has a vastly longer battery life. Whether you’re a student or you’re looking for a new digital piano for your musical hobby, the Kawai ES100 is a great choice. It will not only help you learn with the built-in lessons, but it will help you create something magical in the comfort of your own home and at an affordable cost. Key features

Battery Life

The treble of ES100MKii is fairly clean, somewhat soft and somewhat smooth, but with enough presence and sparkle to combat the neutral and bright sounding IEMS, especially those from your typical Chifi company like KZ. All in all, the signature is colorful in the mids, relaxing, and punchy, a good combination to turn it up and have fun even in one of those days when you really don’t feel all that Doki Doki. In terms of pairings, you can literally drive pretty much anything below 500 USD with ES100MK2, and just like HUD100MK2, it is perfect for both IEMs and Headphones, but ES100MKii has a balanced output too, not just a single ended one. So even BQEYZ Spring 2, or NX Ears Baso, MAS X5i, FiiO FH5S, or headphones like Verum One and HarmonicDyne Zeus will be driveable from ES100mkii. Transform the ES100 into an ultra-compact piano replacement suitable for any room with the matching HML-1 stand and F-350 triple pedal accessories. The Earstudio ES100 can be used as an external DAC. It works with Windows, MAC and Linux operating systems. It’s worth noting that the sample rate is restricted to 16-bit 48000 Hz in Windows OS. However, MACos supports 24-bit but I ain’t mad about that! It still sounds great from my Windows PC and is certainly a step up from the onboard audio. Bluetooth and Battery Life The EQ supplements the nearly-missing EQ functionality of the iPhone's Music app nicely. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.

The plastic used by Radsone is high quality; it feels solid and well-assembled. It doesn’t have the premium feeling of metal, but it offers significantly less weight – which is a pro for a device made for mobility. The buttons feel solid and well implemented. Features & Specs BATTERY life is very good, going from 8 to 14 hours depending of volume or output you choose, 2.5mm is less power hungry than 3.5 for example. The Earstudio application is a MUST, you can use the device without it and it will be recognize easily by your sound source like a non adroid based DAP with BT, but for a phone it take the ES100 to next level. With this app you can control whole potential of dual dac chips, you can choose type of current output like normal or high performance for 3.5mm so it will give about 1 or 2 times current power, you can use a top of the line EQ that work wonderfully, you can change source and analogue volume, buffer lenght, multipoint pairing, over sampling rate, crossfeed, mic volume and even ambient mode that make you ear outside noise so you can stay alert in urban survival mode. Man, there too much features to explain so its really up to you to discover them and earstudio understand this by explaining every aspect of there features.Sound quality, regardless of whether you're using the ES100 over Bluetooth or USB (16bit max via USB on anything but macOS), balanced or unbalanced, is excellent. The two AK4375a DAC/AMP chips from Asahi Kasei provide plenty of driving power along with a warm leaning and smooth but very resolving signature. Some might describe it as an analogue sound. Unlike other products with similar traits, I didn't find the ES100 restricted to earphones with certain signatures. Whether it was being paired with the neutral and very detailed Astrotec Delphinus 5 or smooth and bassy Meze 99 Neo, pairings always sounded great. It's a very versatile product, a quality aided greatly by it's low output impedance.
