Fanfiction. On Wattpad. I can't believe I ended up reading this, but it was pretty good? It made me feel things, for Harry and Aven --- a lot of the time it got heavy on material concerning mental illness and sexual things. Ohhh and the characters were very well developed and the plot was surprisingly, very creative. Anyhow, yes I really enjoyed the fanfic but I had issues with it:

I hated that one chapter I loved Harry and the next I wanted to kill the dude...my brain was going on a complicated train ride with this guyI would like to start with the book and the writing itself before it’s moral and message. Julez is brilliant. Period. This fic had an amazingly structured plot with just enough action, drama, and romance. The writing, chef’s kiss, for real. I fell in love with every single one of the characters and I couldn’t put it down at times. However, sometimes it could be unnecessarily lengthy and prolonged but overall it was very enticing. It was better than a lot of “real” books I’ve read. So, yes, I enjoyed it in that sense. Even though I may not have realized it when I was there, I guess the time I’ve spent in Irish pubs was actually research.

Aware that Ray's new employer will be spying on him to assess his loyalty, he and Claire first practise how they will pretend to be meeting in New York for the first time since Dubai, reprising much of the dialogue of their actual encounter in Rome. They are unaware that Claire's employers at Burkett & Randle are spying on her and overhear this rehearsal, which blows her cover. Burkett & Randle's CEO Howard Tully decides to keep Claire in her job, even though she is a mole, and to manipulate her in his rivalry with Equikrom.

[8] Mask of duplicity definitely describes the characters and circumstances of this time period. The character Beth comes across as quite young in the beginning, but as the story progressed, she seemed much more mature at times. Other characters hide behind facades, too. Thanks to information from Ray, Claire is able to appear a hero to her employers, catching Equikrom's spying activities after the fact or thwarting them in some measure in the Bahamas. Tully at Burkett & Randle pretends to be impressed, thanks Claire for successfully defending the company's new product, and he reveals to her that it is a cure for baldness. She informs Garsik at Equikrom, who leaves for a shareholders meeting in Las Vegas expecting she will obtain the chemical formula and he will announce the new development to his shareholders before Burkett & Randle goes public with the information.

Paul still wants a wife and large family and is eager for his young son to have a mommy, so he seeks a wife through dating services. When he meets Audrey, he immediately falls for her and believes she will be the perfect wife, and her three children from two previous marriages will complete the family he wants so much. Although red flags appear even before they are married, Paul ignores them and goes through with the wedding.
