I take a slow approach to my make-up, I want to look female so I’m not going to just throw it on. In my quest to try and get smoother looking skin I accept I need to wear heavier foundation. Women and fortunate men with nice skin and not much beard growth can wear lighter foundation coverage. I’m a man with rough skin and that dreaded beard shadow so I do need a heavier coverage. I am not concerned by this as some women I work with actually wear more foundation than I do! Real women are seen every day wearing heavy foundation so I’ve placed myself in that group of women. I like spending time in the guise of a woman, it’s quite a thrill to do this. It breaks with my upbringing and the society I live in ad also appeals to me as I mentioned that I love make-up and female fashion. I also like imagining I am female and the man is gone. I am part transsexual so this appeals to that aspect of myself. However, I live as a man and most people have no idea I become a woman on occasion. Start off with good quality makeup products from brands like Maybelline New York, L’Oréal, Rimmel London, Essence, NYX, just to name a few. These are great beginner makeup brands. Once you get good at makeup, then you can work your way through the expensive makeup brands like Tarte, Channel, Sephora, and etc.
I like that I can spend time presenting as a man and as a woman. I genuinely believe I enjoy it more than if I were to transition full time and live as a woman. I am part transsexual but it is not dominant enough need to push me towards surgery and hormones and a complete change of life. I do love the knowledge I can transform myself on occasion into, hopefully, looking and behaving, like the female gender.

Buy and learn with Makeup brushes, not you fingers or cheap sponge things that come with palettes. Makeup Brushes are easy to use and makes your makeup look 100% better than it would without using them. Avoid using big brushes for highlighting and contouring as you may end up contouring or highlighting your entire face.
