I have never smelt Creed Aventus, but I do smell pineapple and smoky wood that the original Aventus batches were apparently known for. I don’t get it. It’s not my favorite I think Layton or Chanel Allure smell a lot better but nothing is as beast at compliments as this fragrance. It’s a crowd pleaser to the max. I’ve also gotten compliments 12 hours after applying 5 sprays. I work with the public and nothing I have worn gets compliments like this. I wear some heavy hitters including PDM Layton, D&G The One, Spicebomb, Chanel Allure Eau Extreme, La Yuqawam (Tuscan leather clone), Moustache EDP (YSL Tuxedo Clone), Aqua Di Gio Profumo, you get the idea… Just like Aventus, this is truly a grab and go fragrance that can be worn at any time for any occasion. Summer, winter, office, date night, it can do it all and will command positive attention. It opens with mostly 30% lemon, 20% cedar, 15% smoke, 15% musk, and 10% pepper. The lemon dissipates a bit in the dry-down as the cedar, smoke, and pepper become more dominant. These notes smell mostly synthetic causing the smoke to seem a bit ashy, the cedar to smell a bit like pencil shavings, and the lemon to smell like a lemon cleaner rather than a fresh lemon. The blend smells nice in the air, but more synthetic and harsh as you get closer, including in the dry-down. Of all the cheap Aventus recreations, I think this smells second best after Mont Blanc Explorer. While I know each human has different chemistry when it comes to sauces anyone spraying more than one shot of this is either insane or singularly self-absorbed to others in their space and has destroyed their olfactory senses with a lifetime of overspraying.

While the Intense EDT was somewhat harsh in the opening the dry down was/is very nice -- a 3D version (interpretation) of 2016 Aventus in my estimation, this, the Limited Edition Parfum is much more balanced in the opening and reminds me of Aventus 2013/14 in the dry down... birch tar and smoke along with leather.Anyone who has a bottle fo the EDT and who is bothered by the somewhat harsh lemony opening will be pleased with this edition: the issue is absolutely fixed, as this one's opening is very fruity, much smoother, and clearly improved. I personally did not think of it as an issue, because it literally lasted 10 minutes max, but I would say that, overall, the scent throughout the entire experience doesn't feel as rough around the edges as it is much better rounded than the EDT, it does feel a tad smokier (I suspect the leather note has something to do with this), and some notes definitely feel like they have been toned down to smoothen and clean up the scent. On my first wearing I kid you not I received no less than 6 compliments, two within the first hour and the rest throughout the day. Pros: Harsh opening is no longer an issue, still a fantastic scent for the price, more vibrant and refined experience than the EDT version. There is one more thing that I think needs to be mentioned, and that may run counter to what other people on here appear to have experienced, but that's what I have experienced: this edition does not last as long as the EDT. It could be a batch thing, but I got a better performance out of my EDT that I got from this Limited Edition Parfum, both in terms of projection and longevity. It's still very good with this edition, especially the longevity. But this does not project as much. It's a better scent all around, but not as potent (at least in my experience). I reviewed this fragrance when the bottle was brand-new, but it changed after a few months of maceration so I decided to update the review. I’m always skeptical when people say “just let it macerate and it’ll fix all your problems”, but in this case, the harsh alcohol opening dissipated and the notes blended together more smoothly after giving the oils time to blend into the alcohol. Despite its affordable price, Club de Nuit Intense Man Limited Edition Parfum Armaf is a fragrance that is designed to impress. It can do cold winter too, but I have other stuff I would rather wear in Winter. Office safe, but since it is a limited edition, I am not wasting it on the office.
