Casamigos Anejo is crafted in Jalisco, a place where fine tequila flows like the waters of the Rio Grande. The soils of Jalisco are well-suited for tequila production and gives each tequila a unique flavour. Casamigos – The producer of Casamigos Añejo Oak and agave have found a decent balance in the Casamigos Anejo, giving it a grassy and fresh elegance that has a decent body of spice notes to grow on. It’s sweeter than some would enjoy, and aficionados may find it a bit too light to be enjoyable. You can definitely sip the Casamigos Reposado neat, and this is one of the better ways to drink it. The start and finish are both easy going, with no harsh burn to ruin the flavors. Things start with a little more weight for the Reposado, which is what you’d expect. The agave note comes through strong, offering something cheerful, but given a sturdy base by the spice of oak. At the mid-palate, some complexity starts to sneak in.The biggest differences in these styles comes down to oak aging. Blanco is not aged in oak and will have more agave flavor than the others. Reposado tequila spends two months to a year in oak. Añejo spends one to three years in oak, and if you see a bottle marked "extra añejo," that spent more than three years in the barrel.
