I found it to be a cross between Sliding Doors and A Christmas Carol, with Bob being able to see what would happen if he did this or didn't do that! The time-jumps throughout the book were done without any complications and it was easy to understand as we worked our way through Bob's life. I have to admit to crying my eyes out towards the end, which really surprised me, and I loved the twists and turns the author scattered throughout the story.
