About this deal

This book is Marvel movie funny, so it’s pretty much a joke a minute. And because of this airy tone, whenever the narrative tries to touch on some emotion other than snark and irreverence, I think it falls a little flat. A lot of the time it’s just like, “joke, joke, joke, oh and also we all have PTSD, anyway… joke, joke, joke!” Oh, and a lot of the humor is like, “hey remember that time when we did that thing and this thing, isn’t it obvious how close we are and how we went on a grand adventure!” No, unfortunately it really isn’t. A large dose of sensitivity and sincerity would have easily made this a new favorite for me. Arek hadn’t thought much about what would happen after he completed the prophecy that said he was destined to save the Kingdom of Ere from its evil ruler. So now that he’s finally managed to (somewhat clumsily) behead the evil king (turns out magical swords yanked from bogs don’t come pre-sharpened), he and his rag-tag group of quest companions are at a bit of a loss for what to do next.

Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass | Goodreads

but it was more like a comedy Romance drama in a fantasy land with magic, not having much exciting events of a Fantasy adventurous story The more of the book that I read, the more that I loved it, with my only real complaint being how utterly next-level oblivious that the two MC's were in regards to seeing how the other felt, with one of them running away when anyone with half a brain would've clued in, and they were truly needed the most. That part felt like a forced plot point, when the remainder of the book had felt entirely organic up to that point. This part was the most surprising to me. Here the author questions whether we should all strive for being fit and living for as long as possible. This always seemed to me natural and unquestionable - being healthy is the non-defective function of being alive, right? He claims that for some people, being fit is not such a value and that they might be happier living their habbits that contradict good health (smoking, body building). This is the story about three sisters Jane, Pearl, and Mari who have taken over the wedding business that they have inherited from their family. This book is marketed as a romcom but it focused more on the relationship dynamics between the three sisters instead of the romance aspect. OMG a New Teaser Trailer for "After Ever Happy" Just Dropped — Watch Here". Seventeen. April 8, 2022. Archived from the original on April 12, 2022 . Retrieved May 2, 2022. Todo el tiempo pensaste que lo único que debías hacer era sobrevivir, que vivir era lo único que se te daba bien y ese era tu propósito” After maintaining a correspondence with a widower and famous scientist named Sir Phillip Crane, 28-year-old Eloise decides to take a leap of faith and accept his written proposal. She leaves her family home to marry a man she has never met. What more would we expect from the independent, free-spirited Eloise?

BOOK RIOT If It Doesn’t Have an HEA (or HFN), It’s Not - BOOK RIOT

The premise is a fun one, following “Chosen One” Arek, and his group of ragtag friends, as they face the realities of their heroic success AFTER fulfilling the fated prophecy by defeating The Vile One and saving the realm from his evil reign. Efectivamente, este libro podría haber durado 20 páginas si ambos hubiesen conversado. is the aspiration to ever ascend economically universal or can people be content in their own circle with no aspiration for change??? I mean, yeah okay, the author said it was more like comedy romantic in a fantasy land, so I guess expecting more fantasy is a lot, while it's the third sub-genre or something. The Key To Happily Ever After is probably not the kind of romance people will expect because family is at the forefront of this book, but nevertheless, it is absolutely delightful and I loved spending time with the de la Rosa sisters. This one wasn't really that special in my book but I think if you go into it with the mindset its' more of a family dynamic book than a romance you may enjoy it more :). It was such a delight to indulge in their sisterly fights & making up. When you read this, you will definitely side by one sister since all three have different personalities but at the end I seemed to love all three at different times, it just happened. We want the happy ending, we need it, and we deserve it. Life is stressful and hard and we want this escape. We need to see love claim victory over everything else. We’ve invested time and money and emotional capital in a book labeled “Romance” and we deserve the happiness promised to us by that label.

Norman, Dalton (July 4, 2023). "After Everything (2023): Release Date, Cast, Story, Trailer & Everything We Know". Screen Rant . Retrieved August 27, 2023. The book carries this rather sanctimonious attitude throughout and really I felt I was being preached at. Yes, there are studies in the US and UK reported with "x" results - but we all know about statistics! I thought this book was going to be a little bit more real life than quoting research at me. Bridgerton" may already be setting up the events of "To Sir Phillip, With Love." Philip Crane appeared in season one as Marina Thompson's husband. He marries Marina in a bid to protect her honor: She is pregnant with his brother's child, and his brother died on the battlefield. But then Arek has to go on and get a "boner" for another person. Several "boners" maybe...and he thinks that's totally cool. Fourthly, as I alluded to in the Introduction, the kind of social mobility that the middle class have in mind is that everyone wants to be middle class. But many working-class kids don't, and for good reason".This book is hilarious. It's witty, it's charming and offers the readers lots of cute moments to swoon over. It made me laugh out loud several times. I also enjoyed the plotline and the writing style. The friendship among the rag-tag group is phenomenal. They are so amazing together. The lgbtaq+ representation is really good too... And then we have Pearl, the youngest of the sisters. Pearl is dying for more responsibility in the shop. After running social media for Rings and Roses for awhile she feels she's ready for the challenge of having a top client all to herself and she's got her sights set on a big one. Mari, however isn't sure she's ready and Pearl starts questioning whether or not she needs more from her career. Plus her long-time friend Trent, who also happens to be her best friend's brother, starts hanging out with her more. Could their childhood friendship possibly blossom into something more? So we should pay much greater attention to improving the working conditions, pay and status of the low-skilled jobs so that people don't feel desperate to escape them - or dissuaded from joining them."

Set in 1813 London, this book introduces readers to the Bridgerton's high society world, where gossip travels faster than a horse-drawn carriage — and nobody can get enough of Lady Whistledown's columns documenting every delectable tidbit. Interesting. Behavioural scientist Paul Dolan here aims to put together something which takes a utilitarian view of human sociology, especially with regards happiness. He groups his thoughts into three sections (each of three subjects) dealing with the themes of wealth/success, love/family, and self-determination, and asks us to reject the common (Western) narratives for each, which might be making us unhappy. So This Is Ever After, has a unique angle that I enjoyed. It follows the heroes after they defeat the big villain and must decide what to do next with their lives. The protagonist, Arek, is a wilder version of king Arthur, and must choose a spouse or literally die. His Mage, Matt, is a serious and sensitive counter to the protagonist, and so hopelessly in love with his best friend. This is a slow burn, friends to lovers romcom, and I believe the book executes the tropes well. Much of the plot relies on the miscommunication trope, and things could easily be tied up with one simple conversation. If you love books with chaotic characters who are totally oblivious, this is definitely for you!
