About this deal

I’m 85kg and 6’2ish and found the 10’8 easy to use. The 10’8, which is the length of the board, is the classic beginner size because it’s stable enough for most beginners, but manoeuvrable so you can practice turning with ease. Which boards do you think could compete with this board or do you consider as even better? Let me know in the comments, I’m wondering if there are any different opinions! The underside is white and running lengthwise is a design band in shaded blue tones and the Bluefin SUP lettering. The surrounding rails are color-coordinated and labeled with the manufacturer’s name and the designation FRS (Flex Reduction System). To me, the design makes a really good impression and the bottom reminds me strongly of the design of surfboards. Other Features The Bluefin Cruise Carbon is one of the best SUP boards. With the very good workmanship, the extremely robust construction, the high-quality accessories, which are significantly better than many low-cost SUP boards, and the extensive scope of delivery, the board convinced us.” Welovewatersports.com

Dual action – this time we were able to use the pump to deflate the board as well as inflate it. Hurrah for this Bluefin! However, if you want to paddle in pairs (as two light adults) or if you weigh more, you should rather go for the Bluefin Cruise Carbon 12. On the subject of running behavior, however, it must also be noted that all 3 fins are now removable on this board. This gives you the additional opportunity to influence the driving characteristics by varying the setup in the desired direction. So you can tune the board to different areas of use and react to changing conditions. If you attach the camera to face you, it becomes a great training tool that will record your technique and body position. We think filming yourself is one of the best ways to improve, because you can really break down what you’re doing and what’s going wrong. You’ll be surprised that most of the time you aren’t bending your knees as much as you thought you were or reaching as far forward as you could for that paddle stroke.

It should be noted, however, that the Cruise Carbon has two air chambers. With the triple action pump, it took us less than 6 minutes in our Bluefin Cruise Carbon test. The pump is a convenient triple-action pump, the Swift Maxi, where you can assemble the handles and base plate yourself. This is convenient for compact storage of the pump. The deflate function is very nice to use when deflating the board. Removable Fins The 12’ is the same width as the 10’8, so although the board can carry more weight, it feels very similar in terms of side-to-side wobbliness. Yes, that’s a non-technical term but hopefully that makes sense! So it’ll be wrong to think the 12’ is much more stable.

The warranty shows that Bluefin is really confident its product is well made and can last. I love this mentality because it shows Bluefin care about the customers’ experience, plus it’s better for the planet not to have plastic paddleboards thrown in the bin because they aren’t well made. Detailed UK Bluefin Cruise reviewThe great feature of the Bluefin Cruise Carbon boards is their stiffness. In the production of the boards, the dropstitch process was used, in which several layers were tightly woven together. Bluefin itself states that the process used is the one with the highest density of stitches. The payoff for a board that is very wide is that it won’t ‘cut’ through the water and will feel like a barge, slow and unresponsive. On top of that something that is too easy to use means that you won’t progress your technique which helps with balance and board control. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Bluefin Cruise Carbon 10’8 Paddleboard on the water, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! The Bluefin Cruise Carbon is so stiff I could not believe it. As soon as I stepped onto the board, I could feel its sturdy and stable design. Despite being an inflatable paddleboard, it felt incredibly rigid and responsive, even in choppy waters. If it gets really shallow in between, for example on river tours, you can also just ride with the smaller side fins and thus reduce the draft to a maximum. Material and Weight

In the following presentation, I will go into detail about the Bluefin Cruise Carbon and the accessories that come with it. I’m not going to say the negative of the Bluefin is its weight, because every other blog on the internet says that. I’m more than happy to take on a board that weighs a little bit more because it’s constructed so damn well, so we’ll leave it there. The advantages of this system are that the position of the fin in the fin box can be freely selected and that significantly more different fins are available for this system. What I admire about Bluefin is their drive to make the best equipment possible that will last, all for a reasonable price. They have not cut corners on materials and their 5-year warranty is just outstanding. Bluefin Cruise Tandem Coiled-Leash: The included leash (safety leash) has a strong Velcro to connect you to the board at the ankle. The spiral-shaped leash (coiled-leash), which stretches to the complete length when falling into the water, prevents the board from drifting without you. Please never ride without a leash…it’s your life insurance in case of doubt!

What Other Inflatable SUPs Should You Consider?

Due to the very large volume, it will surely take you around 10 minutes with the included pump. Learn more about the Bluefin Cruise Tandem. Conclusion Two air chambers: The Bluefin Cruise Carbon has two separate air chambers. On the one hand, this provides more stiffness and on the other hand, this can be practical in the event of an accident. Since the central air chamber can keep the board afloat alone.

This of course changes if you want to get into SUP surfing, then you’ll want a board that is small and very manoeuvrable, which means it won’t glide at all well. D-rings: one ring on the action cam mount, one ring on the tail (for the leash) and 8 D-rings to attach the kayak seats. The bonded areas of the D-rings are neatly sealed by labeled rubber outlines. The 325 cm Bluefin Cruise Carbon is suitable for various areas of use. For beginners this is exciting. Beginners, of course, do not yet know what they enjoy about paddle boarding. With the Cruise Carbon they can therefore try everything first. The PVC used is of very high quality (military grade) and UV-resistant coated. In the core, many polyester threads are very tightly interwoven (dropstitch) to achieve increased strength. These are good conditions for durability. The Bluefin Cruise Carbon is made of several PVC layers using the so-called dropstitch process. This production process makes for particularly stiff boards. The shells of the Bluefin boards are extremely stable and can withstand even an air pressure of 28 PSI. At the pressure of almost 2 bar, most paddle boarding other brands go out of joint long ago.
