To control the unit and use all of these features, you’ll need to install an app called 4STREAM. I used only the PlayStore version since I’m an Android user, but iOS is also supported. I noticed some stability complaints at the PlayStore comment section, but haven’t experienced such issues myself. The device was listed as soon as it booted, it connected to the app without a hitch and kept working flawlessly for hours. Although intended to be driven by the 4Stream app (for iOS and Android), the A50 ships with a conventional remote control for those who prefer to wave a wand to switch sources. I had stereo sound issues which turned out to be due to the application. A complete remove and re-install helped resolve this. But I also had major hissing and noise on both the speakers, but more prominently on the right channel. I ruled out other system components by actual testing other devices; it was the S10.However, there seem to be some curious omissions. For example, in the 4Stream App there is no provision to enable / disable the deep bass function, which is only accessible via the remote control.
