The beauty tool might have completely revolutionised the way people style their hair, with its unique Coanda airflow technology, creating salon-fresh hair at home - but 2022 is the year of the dupe, and so many brands have had a go at putting similar products on the market, for less. It is fantastic at dealing with smells from cooking too. We thought the extractor fan above our hob did a fairly good job until we positioned this air purifier in the kitchen. The built-in carbon filter was unbeatable at neutralising odours, eliminating the smells of a curry we cooked in no time when it would normally linger until the following morning. As a hair dryer and straightener, I can’t fault it one bit. I’m looking forward to experimenting with curls to achieve fuss-free, bouncy hair, as it’s clearly an art I’m yet to master, but I hope to get there soon. My hair was super bouncy and voluminous, and despite some frizz that came about on days two and three — I was overall really happy with the results. My Shark curls held and lasted longer compared to my Dyson curls, and I didn't feel the need to touch up my Shark hair as often as I do with the Dyson.

For our needs, the constant monitoring of air means this model couldn’t be easier to use. Although it can be operated manually with the touchscreen or the remote control, we found the auto mode ideal.
