About this deal

Details & Transparency. 7Hz Timeless is a very competent performer in details retrieval. The more technical the sources, the better the performance. There’s pristine clarity in the handling of Macro and Micro details. This was proven with Sinne Eeg song “We’ve Just Begun”, one of the most complex jazz masterpiece in my collection. Saxophone, Trombones, Piano, Cello, etc. the whole composition of that song has lots of details all over the place – it just need a competent listening device to hear them all. And 7Hz Timeless didn’t miss anything. The 7HZ Timeless AE is a relative easy to driver IEM same like the Original Timeless. It shows a pretty low impedance of 14.8Ω and a sensitivity of 104dB, which makes is compatible for sources like Mobile Phones, USB DAC/Amplifier Dongles and Tablets. To conclude, this iem is great for everyone who can live with its slightly less mid-bass punch and find its comfort to be good enough. Of course, using a quality equalizer can help as well!! The 7HZ Timeless AE shares the same unique looking monitor shape that we have seen with the Original Timeless. The housing is made from Unibody 5-Axis CNC machined aviation-grade aluminum material that has an anodized finish in blue color. I wouldn't recommend to play fps competetive online game with these cause imaging is kind of compresed on these you need sharp imaging for online gaming , but for story based offline game you might give it a shot.

The mids of the Timeless is by far the best part of its tuning. It’s extremely well balanced and with a great purity of tone, especially for vocals. Midrange focused instruments are excellent on the Timeless, with a very natural voicing all around. Vocal harmonies are standout. The Timeless has the ability to effortlessly highlight both vocal harmony and melody at the same time, clearly separating individual vocalists while seamlessly blending their voices together in chorus. I can’t recall the last time I heard an IEM in this lower price class strike me as so enjoyable in the mids right out of the box. At the rear side of the monitor is an angled sound nozzle with a stylish looking metal mesh on the top, which is on the front to a filter that prevents the insertion of particles such like dust or earwax. The way 7hz has approached a planar is incredibly distinctive, and they have discovered so much brilliance in this IEM. Width of the soundstage is slightly better on Timeless, depth is better on Timeless, while height is slightly better on Aladdin. Aladdin has a more intimate presentation because of the forward and bigger notes, while Timeless presents the music in a more spacious manner because of the increased amount of air.The shells are made of aviation grade aluminum, CNC machined to resemble a spaceship. The choice of material has a lot to do with sonic tuning as it is for aesthetic reasons. Nonetheless the result is a beautifully constructed IEM that impressed me a lot. The timeless highs are resolving and have good extension but one could argue the decay is a bit too fast. There isn’t any inherent sibilance with the Timeless and it’s even quite forgiving with sibilant recordings. Utada Hikaru’s “Traveling” is a song that can be punishing on the ears with sibilant IEMs but the Timeless handles it with finesse. As I have already tried the S12, a lot of what I am going to mention about the Timeles is in comparison to the S12, which may not make a lot of sense due to the fact that I haven't posted a review of the S12 yet, but once I get to posting my review of the S12, this mini review will probably make a lot more sense. The midbass region of the 7HZ Timeless AE is nicely textured, tight and impactful along with a good level of clarity, speed and authority when I do listen to songs like Charly Antolini’s “Duwadjuwandadu” or Gogo Penguin’s “Murmuration”. Instruments like toms, snare drums and bass guitars are produced with an excellent grade of roundness and fullness. Overall, Aladdin gives a comfortable listen with enough crispness not to sound dull. Aladdin is on the other hand full on steroids and providing a fun sound with boosted low, high, brightness, and separation.

The best thing about the treble is its extension. Crash cymbals, hi-hats, and triangles decay naturally. The shimmer of upper-treble notes can be heard even though they are not particularly prominent. The 14.2mm Dia. Miniaturized Planar Magnetic Driver of the 7HZ Timeless AE is able to produce pretty fast, controlled and nicely textured bass notes, from the subbass up to the midbass area. The Timeless AE is maybe not a giant killer in terms of technical performance in this area; however it can easily compete with many other IEM’s on the market in a price range between 250 – 400 USD. Both lower treble and upper treble have an almost equivalent amount of energy, wherein the bright cymbal crashes are followed by a suitable amount of shimmer. The mids are also very similar throught the lower and middle ranges, however, reaching the higher end of the mids, I find that the Timeless are not quite as forward in the vocals as the S12. I mean, the S12 are not exactly very vocal forward but the Timeless are even less so. Saying that, I cannot say that the vocals are recessed, they are not, they are still present enough for me to not complain, just that the S12 has that little bit more.
