About this deal

The two main alternatives to the Three 5G Hubare the 5G Vodafone GigaCubeand the EE 5GEE Router 2021. The ZTE T3000 WiFi6 Access Point also features a Gigabit Ethernet Port so you can connect this to a network switch and connect multiple wired devices which can share the high speed 5G Internet service provided by the MC889 outdoor 5G router. What is the main benefit of the ZTE MC889 compared to a 5G router with external 5G Antenna? Designed to be a compact size and lightweight, provides an easy installation, including signal indicators and an APP to support you in choosing the best position for CPE & router

As of September 2022, the ZTE 5G Hub has been replaced by a newer 5G Hub (Zyxel NR5103E). Technical Specifications Was my first day today with Three 5G and although it started great it all went to sh*t within a few min of being online and “updating”. That’s great, but still a long way short of the theoretical maximum – though note that Three claims that its network tops out at 1Gbps with this device, so even at the top end, the hardware is capable of more than Three’s network will currently allow for. EE has the best signal in the village and the mask is line of sight from my house, less than a half a mile away but no 5g, only 4g. The main benefit, apart from price by not having to invest in a separate 5G antenna is the fact that the cable between the 5G router installed outdoors and the T3000 WiFi hotspot installed indoors is that they are connected with an Ethernet cable which can have a maximum cable length of 100m and is just a single cable. Installing an outdoor 5G antenna a long distance sway from an indoor 5G router using longer than 5 or 10m of antenna cable can mean a big reduction in signal quality and service due to the signal loss along the length of the antenna cables.Your choice of portable 5G routers is extremely limited at the time of writing. But there are a couple of interesting options if you want to be more flexible or mobile with your 5G broadband connectivity. 5GWiFi

Are they supplying new routers to existing customers or do we need to request them? Still using the little B311 they supplied years ago to me… it works but it needs rebooted a bit too often imo. Staffed by a small, yet dedicated team, product knowledge and customer service have been paramount to our continued success for nearly 3 decades. EE is meant to offer the best data speeds where I live as I can see the mast. But will get a payg sim and try it on my mobile. I assume mobiles will give better speed than I can expect from a 4g router so it would be the absolute best case on mobile? I don't use an antenna on mine. I live right in the middle of town and can almost see the attena that I connect too. We’re fans of the simplicity of the plans on offer. While some networks offer a range of plans with differing data limits, the fact is that home broadband should be unlimited, so there’s little need for that. The pricing here is also very competitive.

You can also just get the business unlimited tariff for the same price, and then you get 1TB at a bare minimum iirc. These were tests of smartphones, but similar results would likely be found with 5G home broadband routers. You can read more about each network’s 5G speeds in our ‘how fast is 5G?’ guide. Plans We’ll get to Three’s plans below, but they’re very competitive. Three’s 5G coverage is also growing rapidly, though of course that doesn’t mean you’ll have it in your home. At the time of writing if you have any 5G coverage it might be limited to just one network, so that by default will be the one to go for if you want 5G home broadband.
